Ladbrokes Park Lakeside hosts midweek racing on a mild Wednesday afternoon in Melbourne with Race 1 getting underway at 3:40pm AEDT. The track will be Good and punters can enjoy an eight-race program.

Race 2: Tobin Brothers Celebrating Lives Handicap - 4:15pm AEDT
(10) Sirena I am choosing again despite the filly disappointing us last time with a 4th when we were on when she was second fav. She remains t the 1200m and the Griffiths stable must think there is nothing wrong with her after she performed below market expectations. On the quick back up and from a better barrier in 3, she should settle behind the leader and maybe a more open home straight will be the difference this time.
(1) Highlands loves running a drum and has done it in 7 of his 8 starts. He has joined the Bedgood stable now and trialled up quite nicely at Cranbourne on January 20.
(2) Nicabuk has drawn inside and has placed on the Dry before. He has been freshened for this and is likely to settle in the top 4.

Race 4: Stow Storage Solutions Handicap - 5:25pm AEDT
(1) Vivideel has to carry 2kg with the claim but but has drawn barrier 1 so he might be able to save himself a length there, sticking along the rails. Forget Flemington last start and go on his lead all of the way bar the last 50m when he was 2nd at Pakenham. I reckon he can lead again here for Kennedy and take running down despite being the top weight.
(2) Diwali was 4th on January 24 at The Valley and was poor but may improve on a quick back up. Good tracks are his favourite and he drops 600m from Friday night’s run.
(8) So Brave rises in distance after his Mornington win last start but he was backed in there so we will respect the weight of money on him on that occasion. Steps up 350m for this.

Race 8: Sportsbet Race Replays Handicap - 7:30pm AEDT
(12) Paradise City has drawn wide in 12 but is deserving of a small bet in the last race on the back of a better run at Cranbourne last start when he made up late ground for 4th. He has won two races on Dry ground and as in-form Craig WIlliams on. Has won over this track distance before for Moody&Coleman and he will get back and will be running on.
(5) Prinzerro won a Pakenham jumpout on January 7 and he has placed in all 3 starts when first up from a spell. Was only 3L behind some handy horses in a race at Flemington in the Spring Carnival. Maybe over the odds in this.
(4) Vail Mountain beat our on top selection at Cranbourne last start and he has drawn well in barrier 6 for the Hayes boys. Is fourth up from a spell and is very fit now. Dakotah Keane will likely try and get cover in around midfield.
