Wyong Racing Tips: Saturday, January 11th 2025
Race 4: Domeland BM100 - 1350m - 2:20pm (AEDT)
(1) Iowna Merc $3.20: 5YO who has been super in his last two runs and must be respected. Down in class, but up in weight. Very honest type and looks the main danger. Happy to stay on.
(2) Coastwatch $10.00: 6YO who has been racing against some tough types and finally gets back into a winnable race. Gets a nice booking and draws well. Best is good enough here.
(3) Strait Acer $7.50/$2.15: 5YO who is a very genuine type and is a beast when competing in the country, but most recently has had some sound form. Early market support suggests he can give this a shake.
Iowna Merc
$3.20 (2 Units)
Race 5: Wyong Equine Clinic BM78 - 1100m - 2:55pm (AEDT)
(2) Audette $14.00/$3.10: Roughie of the field who gets in nicely at the weights and is a last start winner. Has had a decent break between runs and is capable of another bold showing at odds.
(3) Dollar Magic $5.50: 6YO Mare who is rather consistent but does find it hard to win. Rates well here and deserves to be in the market again, but the will too win is lacking. Take on trust.
(6) Bonita Queen $2.20: 4YO Mare who looks to be one of the better bets on the card. She has been super and has trialled up a storm leading into this. Bjorn Baker stable is on fire and this mare looks the one to beat. Top Pick
Bonita Queen
$2.20 (4 Units)
Race 8: The Lakes - 1600m - 4:40pm (AEDT)
(1) Robusto $4.00: 5YO Gelding who has been terrific in his last three outings with a win and two seconds. 1 behind private Eye and the other behind Translantic (Both classy types) Rock hard fit and out of the Bjorn Baker stable, so must be respected. Looks a main danger.
(3) Palmetto $26.00: I was bullish on this fella first up and it was a butcher of a ride which ended up being costly and he tired out of it. Second up now and will be fitter. They have opted to remain with Molly BOURKE in the saddle and with the claim he gets in nicely for this. Looks a tad over the odds. Blow out hope.
(6) Junipal $21.00: 9YO veteran who we tipped last start and they gapped third, but got the on the wrong end of a head bob to finish second behind Gold Bullion. Over the odds.
Robusto
$4.00 (1.5 Units)
