Miami Heat at Philadelphia 76ers
Wells Fargo Center, 10:30am AEDT
The Heat will be on the second night of a back-to-back when they travel to Philadelphia on Tuesday. They’re coming off a three-point win against the Pistons on Monday led by Duncan Robinson’s 30-point performance. The Heat were without Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro in that one, although the former is a chance to return on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the 76ers put an end to a mini two-game slide with a comfortable home win against the Hornets on Sunday (109-98). Tyrese Maxey poured 30 points for the second straight game and has been in great touch since returning from injury three starts back. With Maxey back and firing, the 76ers are a far more formidable outfit and deserve to be the favourites against the Heat who will have heavy legs. Regardless of whether or not Butler suits up, I have the home side coming away with an important win.

New York Knicks at Golden State Warriors
Chase Center, 1pm AEDT
After a couple of weeks of poor performances due to being heavily undermanned, the Knicks are finally starting to get some bodies back and have reeled off three straight wins. They’re a perfect 2/2 on their current road trip with wins in Portland and Sacramento, and will now travel to the Bay Area where the Warriors await. The Warriors recently wrapped up a mini three-game trip where they came away with two wins. Their most recent game was against the Lakers in LA whom they defeated by seven points. The Warriors now return home where they’ve lost their last two games, although they were without Steph Curry on both occasions and the superstar is now healthy and ready to suit up. He led the way with 31 points last time against the Knicks in an 11-point win and I expect another similar result on Tuesday.
Golden State Warriors -4.5

Atlanta Hawks at Los Angeles Lakers
Crypto.com Arena, 1:30pm AEDT
The Hawks managed to pull off a highly unexpected win against the Clippers in their most recent outing (110-93) to snap a three-game losing streak. They’re down a bunch of bodies at the moment, with the notable absentees being Trae Young and Onyeka Okongwu. The Hawks will continue their stay in Los Angeles to take on the Lakers on Tuesday in the second game of their tough back-to-back. Meanwhile, the Lakers will be looking to bounce back after a pair of losses against the Kings and most recently the Warriors. LeBron James poured in a season-high 40 points in his last outing but couldn’t get enough to support to secure the win. Regardless, the Lakers will go into Tuesday’s clash with the undermanned Hawks as the overwhelming favourites and rightly so. They’ll be desperate to get back on the winners list and I expect them to do just that in emphatic fashion.
Los Angeles Lakers -8.5
