Sha Tin Racing Tips: Sunday, December 10th 2023
Race 1: Silent Witness Hcp (C4) - 1200m (15:25 AEDT)
(1) Happy Golf is a great e/w chance in this race. He dropped into C4 last start and was unlucky from start to finish missing the kick and then being significantly held up on the rail for most of the straight. He can be competitive in this grade and will benefit with Jmac aboard.
(8) Patch Of Time can improve after a solid 4th place on debut. He was checked in the straight there but finished off ok. This being his 2nd career run improvement is to be expected.
(6) Gorgeous Win will go to the lead and should prove hard to run down if he gets an easy time of it. Zac Purton is aboard and will give the horse every possible chance.
(1) Happy Golf - e/w
$11/$3.3 (1 unit)
Race 3: Maurice Hcp (C3) - 1400m (16:35 AEDT)
(9) Global Harmony looks suited to the longer trip here after closing off strongly. He’s well-placed and should settle in a good position off the rail for Karis Teetan.
(3) Tamra Blitz won last start nicely and can repeat the dose here with a similar run. Solid danger.
(13) Ready To Win is a great chance from barrier 1. Is better known for his ability over 1200m but with the aid of the low draw should be able to save enough energy to see out the longer trip.
(9) Global Harmony - win
$4.00 (2 units)
Race 4: The Longines Hong Kong Vase (Group 1) - 2400m (17:10 AEDT)
(9) Warm Heart maps perfectly in gate 1 here and has run 2nd to Inspiral his last 2 starts. Ryan Moore is aboard and I'm confident this horse can win this race.
(8) Lebensstil has Joao Moreira aboard and is a horse from Japan. He’s lightly-raced but what he lacks in race experience he makes up for in ability. He’s yet to miss the quinella in his career and looks set for another solid performance here.
(3) Zeffiro can run well here from Japan as well. He has an expert jockey aboard in Damian Lane who is highly experienced in riding Japanese horses as well. Solid danger.
(9) Warm Heart - win
$2.90 (2 units)
