Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, August 30th 2023
Race 2: Schweppes BM64 1200m at 2:00pm AEST
(1) INFATUATION ($5/$2) – 3YO filly who has been racing in open class and hasn’t been disgraced. Drops significantly in class and gets a 3kg claim to put her right in this race. Third up now and should be fit and ready to secure her second career win. Only win comes over this trip too.
(3) ASHFALL ($4.20) –3YO colt out of The Autumn Sun who is the Early favourite here. He won nicely last start where he motored home to win just like TAS used too. Drops back to 1200m now which is my only concern. Genuinely think he needs the 1400m or mile after watching the first two races. Prefer to watch over this distance first.
(1) INFATUATION - E/W
$5/$2 (1 Unit)
Race 3: Victor Ludorum @ Darley BM72 2200m at 2:35pm AEST
(2) CHATEAUX PARK ($6.00/$2.10) – 7YO gelding who has been racing well of late. Hasn’t missed the trifecta from last three starts. Won over this track/distance and grade two back by a length and then went up to BM78 and a further 200m to finish second. Drops back to BM72 grade and looks a nice each way bet again. Value each way bet.
(1) THE MILKY BAR KID ($3.90) – 5YO who has oozed class previously and has been in the mix this prep from all attempts. Last two runs he has run out of steam hitting the line. Now gets a rise in trip to 2200m, but gets a 3kg claim and will only need to carry 58kg this time round. Previous outings he has been top weight and this may have caused him to struggle to the line. Genuine type and expect more and will need to be run down again if he is to be beaten.
(2) CHATEAUX PARK - E/W
$6/$2 (1 Unit)
Race 4: Ranvet BM72 1600M at 3:10pm AEST
(4) LOLLY YEATS ($4.20) – 6YO mare who couldn’t be caught last time over this trip/track. Draws a nice gate and expect her to be even fitter off the previous run. If she can lead and dictate the race she will once again be hard to run down.
(1) HOLLYWOOD HERO ($3.50) – 4YO who gets back in class today after not being that far off in a BM78 against PRINCIPESSA who has gone back-to-back. Draws wide and will need to match it with LOLLY YEATS. Looks to be a contest between the two here. Concern is that they might soften each other up out in front allowing for them to be swooped late.
(4) LOLLY YEATS - Win
$4.20 (2 Units)
