Randwick Racing Tips – Wednesday, June 14th 2023
Race 3: Star Turn @ Vinery Stud BM72 – 2:35pm (AEST)
(2) Demitasse – 3YO gelding who has a 50% win rate from 8 outings. Won very well last start where he flew late to win by over a length and only just missed the one prior. Third up now and should be rock hard fit to go on with here. Bullock booked is also a big tick.
(6) Strombus – Won well two starts ago over this trip and grade, but then failed to go on with it LS. Is a capable type if he presents on race day. Nice price and worth thought.
(2) Demitasse
$2.50 (2 Units)
Race 4: Hyland Race Colours BM78 2400m – 3:10pm (AEST)
(1) Fun Fact – 7YO gelding who has been very ordinary of late, but was a proven winner and smart horse early on. Gets back to midweek racing and a significant class drop. 3kg claim engaged gives him a nice each way chance here. Will need to bring the old Fun Fact back, but in this grade can give us a run for money.
(5) Whangaehu – Finished off nicely last prep with 2 wins from 3 and then has failed to salute from 2 runs this prep. Up to 2400m now which is where he is 1 from 1. Fitter now and Collett in the saddle is a plus. Goes well here.
(1) Fun Fact – E/W
$15/$3.60 (1u/2u)
Race 5: TAB BM72 1400m – 3:45pm (AEST)
(8) Principessa – A bit of a bridesmaid this one, finds it hard to win, but has only missed the trifecta twice from 15 runs. Fourth up today after coming second the last 3 outings. Gets a rise in trip which I think will help here and allow her to get past the leaders and win.
(5) Star Impact – Value chance in the race who won last start. Up in grade here, but Tim CLARK booked is a tick. Loves this distance and is worth an each way play. Draws well and will take catching.
(8) Principessa
$3.80 (2 Units)
Race 6: Robrick Lodge BM64 1000M – 4:20pm (AEST)
(2) Hi Dubai – 3YO filly who bloused the field by 4L first up and then went straight to open grade and finished only 3L off the winner. Gets back in grade here and will be hard to beat. Waterhouse knows how to train a leader and Nash gets the ride. Overcome wide draw and will take catching. Ready to fire again first up.
(9) Eagle Nest – Another 3YO Filly who bloused the field to break maiden and then struggled the following race, but last start was much better where she just missed in this grade. Should be rock hard fit for this and that could be the difference between HI DUBAI. Will want to sit in behind HI DUBAI and take her on late to win. Saver bet.
(2) Hi Dubai
$3.10 (2 Units)
