Game 2 of the NBA Finals was a big surprise with the Miami Heat stealing one on the road to level the series at 1-1. Will the Denver Nuggets return the favour and bounce back when the series heads to Miami in Game 3? We bring you our full preview and best betting tips for Thursday’s clash.
NBA Finals Betting Tips: Game 3
Denver Nuggets at Miami Heat
Kaseya Center, Thursday 10:30am AEST
The stage is set for an awesome Game 3 of the NBA Finals in Miami this Thursday.
The Heat managed to get the split in Denver by winning Game 2 on Monday, which now swings homecourt advantage in their favour for this best-of-seven series.
Game 2 was won on the back of a blistering start to the fourth quarter by the Heat who turned an eight-point deficit into a five-point lead in just three minutes. They managed to control the rest of the game from that point to secure a huge road win.
Elite shooting from beyond-the-arc was a huge reason for the Heat’s success on Monday. They connected on 17 of their 35 triples (48.6%), which is well above the NBA average.
Bam Adebayo was the best player for the Heat again just like he was in Game 1. He finished the game with 21 points and nine rebounds, while Jimmy Butler had 21 points and nine assists.
Nikola Jokic was still clearly the best player on the court despite his team losing. The 2x MVP finished the night with 41 points and 11 rebounds on a highly-efficient 16-28 from the field.
Despite the big scoring night, the Joker finished the game with four assists which is his lowest from these playoffs to date. However, his lack of assists was more so due to the bad shooting nights that the rest of the starters had.
Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. are the second and third options on the Nuggets offence and combined for just 23 points in Game 3, so you can expect a much better output from them on Thursday.
As long as the Joker’s supporting cast can lift their productivity from last game, the Nuggets should be able to bounce back in Miami against a Heat outfit that lost their last two home game last series against Boston.

Bam Adebayo 18+ Points – 26 & 21 points from the two games in this series so far. He needs to continue to be aggressive and I expect him to reach 18+ points again.
Nikola Jokic 25+ Points – Ever reliable and has a massive mismatch in the paint. Coming off a 40-bomb last game and can get to 25 with his eyes closed.
Jimmy Butler 6+ Assists – Hasn’t been shooting the ball well of late but has still been facilitating. It would be a big surprise if he fails to record 6+ dimes here.
Aaron Gordon 5+ Rebounds – Playing a big part in their rotation in the playoffs and has recorded 6+ assists in each of his last three games.
Same Game Multi Odds: $4.33
