Randwick-Kensington will host this week’s midweek NSW meeting. There’s some rain around Sydney so keep an eye on the track conditions and the form of horses on wet ground as we’ve had good weather for a while in Sydney and some horses’ form may change significantly in different conditions.
Blake Lalor brings you his best Randwick-Kensington racing tips for the day. And if you're looking for a new sportsbook that covers all of your racing needs, then give betr a try!
Randwick-Kensington Racing Tips - Wednesday, February 15th
Race 2
(5) Atlantic Ocean is 3rd up now and should be ready to rock and roll. He’s drawn well for James McDonald in gate 4 and is coming out of a race last start which has produced an honour roll of winners and place-getters since. Expect this horse to fit in with that trend and at least make the top 3 if he isn’t to win this time.
(4) Bon Vivant closed strongly on a rain-affected track last time and can repeat that performance here 2nd up which would see him right in the finish. Just needs to handle the wide draw.
(2) Journalism has been flying this prep and should continue that way this time 3rd up. The wet track may throw a spanner in the works here though with most of the horse’s best form coming on dry tracks.
(5) Atlantic Ocean Win
$3.40 (2 Units)
Race 4
(4) Lascars is right back in grade here 1st up. After contesting black-type races last prep. His trials have been great and he should be ready to go for an astute stable 1st up under James McDonald.
(10) Rita May was 3rd to Never Second last time and was held out wide all the way. From a slightly better draw here she should get an easier run and will be right in the finish.
(6) Headwall is undefeated in 2 career runs and has shown no reason why he cannot remain undefeated after this next race. He’ll have to be on his game but all indications from trials say he is on song and ready to go.
(4) Lascars Win
$4 (1 Unit)
Race 7
(1) The Big Easy gets a solid chance from gate 1 with Dylan Gibbons claiming 2kg and he typically runs well on wet tracks. Journalism may not get into this field as an emergency but if he does, I’m not too sure he can win.
(3) Jupitus is returning here and can impact this race significantly. James McDonald and Chris Waller must be respected too.
(8) The Denzel can improve 2nd up and run well for Andrew Adkins. I’m interested to see how his preparation progresses and although he’s not on top in this race, he could be one to watch as his preparation progresses.
(1) The Big Easy Each-Way
$4.20/$1.80 (1 Unit)
