NFL Week 18 Monday Betting Tips
Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals have wrapped up the AFC North on the back of 7 straight wins but they will now, unfortunately, be unable to challenge for the No.1 seed in the conference due to their Week 17 clash against the Bills being canceled. The league is discussing holding the AFC Championship game at a neutral site to cancel out both the Bills and Bengals disadvantage from the lost game. Either way, there’s too much unknown surrounding this game as to whether or not the Bengals/Ravens will rest key players. Stay away.

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears
Unlike a lot of teams this week, the Vikings still have something to play for as they sit tied with both the Vikings and 49ers on 12 wins and just one win behind the NFC leading Eagles. A range of different scenarios could see them advance their seeding in the NFC.I think the overs is a good bet here as they will be throwing caution to the wind knowing that they can improve their seeding, but they are unable to drop any places. The Bears have also had 38.0 points put up on them over their last two games.
Over 43.0 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills
The NFL has indicated that this game will indeed go ahead as scheduled, even after the troubling events that occurred during the Bills game last week. Because of that, I think there’s no way I could accurately tip this game. So much unknown surrounding the mindframe that the Bills will come into this game with. Will they be fired up for their battling teammate or will they concede what is essentially an unimportant game for them?

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins have one last chance at a playoffs berth in 2022-23. To get in, they’ll need to win this game and pray that the Bills beat the Patriots. Despite their struggles with form of late, I’m surprised to see them open as just one point favourites at home here with so much on the line. I think they cover that line easily against a Jets team that has lost their last five on the trot.
Dolphins -1 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
The Buccs are the prime candidate to take a rest this week as they have clinched their playoff berth and cannot go up or down in seeding. I’m positive that they’ll take the opportunity as well, given their group of veterans including 45 year old quarterback Tom Brady. With backup QB Blaine Gabbert likely to square off against Falcons 2nd string Desmond Ridder, this has the feeling of a low scoring game.
Under 40.5 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints
Dead rubber here between two NFC South teams with the division already going in favour of the Buccs. They’ll be playing for pride alone, but I think that bodes well for the overs here. There is no doubt that they will be throwing caution to the wind, which makes this 42.0 total seem a little low.
Over 42.0 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts
Tough to know what to make of this game really. These two AFC South opponents have been two of the worst teams in the league this season with just six wins between them. Seems a complete stay away from me but if I had to take something here it would be the under. Neither have scored over 20 points in their last four combined games.
Under 38.0 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers will be fighting to keep the 2nd seed in the NFC and potentially move up into the the top seed and earn themselves a week off with a win and an Eagles loss. They are coming up against one of the most out of form teams in the competition in the Cardinals, who have lost their last six on the trot. The 49ers, on the contrary, have won nine in a row and should absolutely smash their divisional rivals here.
49ers -14 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders
The Cowboys can still win the NFC East and the 1st seed in the conference. Step one to doing so is to beat the Commanders in Washington on Monday. Washington are starting third string QB Sam Howell this week, which will make it tough to win against one of the best teams in the league. Back the Cowboys to get the job done easily here.
Cowboys -7 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks place in the playoffs is on the line in Week 18. They are currently in the post-season, but have to win to keep their spot there with both Green Bay and Detroit equal on wins and playing eachother on Monday. The Rams will fancy themselves as party poopers on Monday, and found some form a few weeks ago with a dominant win over the Broncos. I like them to cover here.
Rams +6 ($1.90 at Ladbrokes)
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
Week 18 isn’t a great betting week traditionally because of matchups like this. The Eagles have to win to keep their top seed in the NFC while the Giants have nothing to play for as they are already locked into the 6th seed in the NFC. Philly will no doubt win this game, but the 14 point line isn’t appealing at all considering they might have a ‘grind out a win’ mentality here.
No Bet
Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos
I have no doubt that the Chargers will be playing their hardest here. A first round matchup against the Jaguars will be a hell of a lot more appealing to them than a meeting with the Bengals, which is what could await them if they drop this game. Don’t think they should be underdogs against a Broncos team that has no playoff chances.
Chargers H2H ($2.25 at Ladbrokes)
Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers
The NFL has saved the best for last as divisional rivals Green Bay and Detroit do battle in the afternoon game. Both are 8-8 on the season and the winner of this game will advance through to the playoffs if the Seahawks lose or tie to the Rams during the morning slate. If the Seahawks win though, this will be a dead rubber, which means there is just too much unknown to make a tip at this time.
