AFLW Week Two Finals Betting Tips
Richmond vs North Melbourne
Saturday 1:40pm AEDT, Punt Road
The eighth placed Kangaroos have found their way into the Semi Finals after a thrilling two point win over Geelong in last week’s Elimination Final. It sets up an enthralling clash against Richmond, who they drew with in the last round of the home and away season. The Tigers lost their first game since Round 2, after suffering a seventeen point defeat against Brisbane at Metricon Stadium last week. A three goal to one second quarter proved the difference, as Richmond struggled to generate attacking flow on the wide expanses of Metricon Stadium.
North Melbourne’s defence was nothing short of heroic last week, holding up against a rampant Geelong side that dominated the inside 50 count 41-18. The Roos defence held tough and found a way to get through, and they now face a side they’ve had the wood over for quite some time. In four meetings between the two sides North Melbourne have won three by an average margin of 36 points, the other fixture was the Round 10 draw. The Roos had double the scoring shots than Richmond did that day and should’ve won that game, they now come into this game with serious momentum.
Richmond have not risen to the occasion against the better teams in the competition, with just one win from five games against top eight teams this season. North Melbourne’s experience was massive last week, and they once again play a team in their first finals campaign. Momentum, experience and a great record against the Tigers - it’s lining up perfectly for the North fairytale to continue.

Adelaide vs Collingwood
Saturday 3:40pm AEDT, Unley Oval
The reigning premiers are fighting to keep their season alive when they host Collingwood at Unley Oval on Saturday afternoon. The Crows were ran over the top of by a rampant Melbourne outfit in last week’s Qualifying Final, and find themselves in a very unfamiliar position in a Semi Final. Collingwood held on in a heartstopping five point victory over the Bulldogs last week, with a four goal performance from Eliza James the separating factor between the two sides.
Adelaide have suffered a huge blow this week, with captain Chelsea Randall ruled out of the do or die clash after suffering a head knock against Melbourne. Randall passed the concussion test and didn’t display any symptoms however the Crows have opted to take a conservative approach. Collingwood’s Ruby Schleicher and Sarah Rowe will both face fitness tests, with the duo struggling with knee injuries.
Both of these clubs have been perennial finalists throughout the history of the competition, but it’s hard to go past Adelaide given their record in big games. Adelaide have a 6-2 record in finals matches, and have a 4-1 record against Collingwood. The Crows haven’t lost back to back games since 2020, and it’s difficult to see them going out in straight sets. Adelaide were outstanding in the first quarter against Melbourne, and if they can maintain that across four quarters, they’ll be too good for Collingwood.
