Sunday afternoon NRL action needs some encouragement for fans viewing, so this NRL Betting Preview will increase the excitement as you aim to gain a return from your investment. The first match has the Bulldogs up against the Titans.
These teams sit in 14th and 15th place respectively but there is no doubt hopes are higher in Canterbury. At 4pm, we head north to Townsville to see the Cowboys against the Tigers. In a rare slip last week, the Cowboys will want to bounce back from a loss and there is no greater opportunity than against the last placed team on the competition ladder.

Match Preview
The Bulldogs did their best last week to push the Rabbitohs in their 36-28 loss but ultimately, it wasn’t a complete 80-minute performance. The final 10 minutes got away from them and they couldn’t limit their opponents’ opportunities. In a positive, they have scored another high total of points and appear to be playing with freedom. That will serve them well here.
The Titans can only hope for such execution but will be buoyed by their 16-12 loss to the Broncos. Despite being on the wrong side of the scoreboard, it was one of their better recent performances. That will allow them greater confidence against a team which is only 2-points ahead of them on the competition ladder, but their horrendous points difference is a cause for concern. They also have the third highest total for points concede and third worse points difference (-176 vs Bulldogs -127).
Betting market reflect this also with the Bulldogs favourites ($1.58 vs $2.40). There is no doubt that the Bulldogs are well placed to perform well, and it takes a brave person to invest on the Titans. Rather than invest on a direct winner, the safer option appears to be taking this game to be a high scoring contest.
Alternate Bets:
Bulldogs -5.5/Total Over 42.5 ($3.60)
Josh Addo-Carr 2+ Tries ($4.50)

Match Preview
The Cowboys were defeated by the Sharks last week but their loss at home isn’t as disappointing as it may seem. They were without their Origin players; rather, they took the opportunity to provide them with rest which should improve their longevity at the end of the season. They get a great opportunity to bounce back to winning form here with ideal conditions; they’re at home and facing the last-placed team in the competition.
The Tigers were spirited last week but fell agonisingly short against a Panthers team missing their Origin players. If they couldn’t win that game, there is little hope for them here. Finding value in this game could be a challenge, with the Cowboys strength/momentum/potential reflected in the odds ($1.08 vs $8). The key to finding a winner isn’t solely focussed on the Cowboys attack.
With the third best attacking record so far this season (averaging 25.3 points per game), their defence often goes unnoticed; they concede just 14.6ppg (ranked 2nd) and will make scoring points for the Tigers very difficult. In the end, the line may not be enough to even keep this match competitive.
Alternate Bets:
Holmes, Taulagi & Leilua to score ($18)
Cowboys 30+ ($3.30)
Cowboys -19.5
$1.90 (1.5 Units)
