Melbourne vs Brisbane Betting Tips
MCG, Thursday 23rd June, 7.20pm (AEST)
Melbourne
Injuries: Max Gawn, Blake Howes, Tom McDonald, Joel Smith, Daniel Turner (Out) Jake Melksham, Fraser Rosman (Test)
The Dees have lost three straight games and will now be without the star ruckman and captain Max Gawn for the next 2-4 weeks. Luckily, they get one of their most important players in Steven May back from suspension this week, who will be crucial as they go up against the dynamic Brisbane forward line.
After a fantastic start to the season, the Dees could potentially slide to fourth or even lower if they get smahsed on Thursday night, so there is a lot on the line for the premiership favourites. Over the last three weeks they have scored just 57.6 points per game, and desperately need to find more avenues to goal moving forward.
Brisbane
Injuries: Darcy Gardiner (Out) Kai Lohmann, Dayne Zorko (Test)
The Lions were battling a lot of injuries earlier in the season but have come good over the last few weeks. Dayne Zorko could return to the side on Thursday night giving them a near full strength line-up for the top of the table clash.
The Lions lave lost two of their last four games but backed them both up with impressive wins the following week. They are on the back of their bye round on the weekend, so should be feeling fresh ahead of the trip to Victoria.
Match Prediction
What a tough game to call. Will the Dees prove to the country that they are still the top dog despitethree losses in a row or could the Lions go to bed on Thursday night as premiership favourites?
The Demons start as slight 6.5 point favourites at home, but I'm not really winning to take either team at that line. The weather looks good on Thursday night in Melbourne so conditions should be optimal for a free flowing game.
I think it should be pretty back and forth for the majority of the game, which is why I like the value of 'any other result' in the wire to wire market. Three of their last four games have resulted in a win for this market.

Prop Bets
Like the odds of Jack Viney to hit the scoreboard on Thursday night. The midfielder kicked a goal in each of his first five games this season and then went scoreless in his next five. He got back on the board in Round 13 with one goal against the Magpies. I think the Dees will play a little more aggressively across the board this week with their security blanket in May back in the side.
Jack Viney 1+ Goal ($2.95 at BetRight)
The slight under looks the play here as the MCG hasn't been a particularly high scoring ground of late. Each of the last secen games at the MCG has gone under the total points line.
Under 161.5 ($1.88 at Ladbrokes)
