NBA Finals Betting Tips: Game 6
Golden State Warriors at Boston Celtics

The Warriors became the first team to win back-to-back games in this series after winning Games 4 and 5, which gave them a 3-2 lead and moved them within one win of taking home the Larry O’Brien Trophy. Game 5 was at Golden State and it was all one-way traffic in favour of the home side in the first half, and although the Celtics were able to mount a challenge in the third term, ultimately it was the Warriors who won by 10 points for the second straight game.
The Warriors may have come out on top in Game 5, but it wasn’t done in the way many would’ve expected. Steph Curry had a mare of a game and failed to hit a single three-pointer for the first time since 2018, but it mattered little because of the scintillating play of Andrew Wiggins who put up 26 points to go along with 13 rebounds. For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum shot 50% for the first time in the series and finished with 27 points, but the lack of help from his teammates made it impossible for them to win.
Injuries haven’t been a factor in this series to date (touch wood), which would have to be a first in quite a number of years. There are only three players from both teams combined who are carrying slight niggles; those being Andre Igoudala, Otto Porter (Warriors) and Robert Williams (Celtics).
The Warriors will have to defy the odds if they’re to win Game 6 in Boston and take the Larry O’Brien back to the Bay on Friday night. The Celtics haven’t lost back-to-back games on their home deck since way back in January and have only lost back-to-back games in the playoffs once during this run (Games 4 and 5). With their backs against the wall and in desperation mode, I expect the Celtics to answer the call and deliver a strong win in Game 6.

Klay Thompson had a pour start to the series but has found his stroke across his last three outings. We all know he’s called Game 6 Klay for a reason and his line is set at just 20.5, which he’s eclipsed in two of his last three games.

Andrew Wiggins has been getting all the headlines after his heroics in Game 5, but I believe it’s been a little too much hype for him. Wiggins has only scored over 18 points in two of his last seven games and I expect him to fall short again here.

Jayson Tatum’s struggles in this series have been well documents, but if there’s ever been a moment for him to finally have his moment, it’s this game on Friday. I expect him to up his shot attempts and put up 30+ points in this one.
