Collingwood vs Melbourne Betting Tips
MCG, Monday 13th June 3:20pm (AEST)
Collingwood
Injuries: Charlie Dean (Foot), Brodie Grundy (Knee), Will Kelly (Hip), Nathan Kreuger (Shoulder), Jack Madgen (Shoulder), Reef McInnes (Shoulder), Tom Wilson (Back)
The Magpies aren’t without too many of their key players at the moment. Brodie Grundy is still four weeks away with a knee injury, Jack Madgen is three weeks away with a shoulder, while Reef McInnes will miss the rest of the season.
After suffering a couple of poor defeats in Rounds 8 and 9, the Magpies have returned to form to win each of their last three matches, two of which were against top eight sides in the Dockers and the Blues. The Magpies survived a scare against the dangerous Hawks last weekend, led by young star Nick Daicos who had 36 disposals. The Magpies are now 7-5 on the season and can finish the round in eighth spot if they win on Monday.
Melbourne
Injuries: Blake Howes (Foot), Steven May (Suspension), Tom McDonald (Ankle), Jake Melksham (Hand), Fraser Rosman (Hamstring), Joel Smith (Ankle)
Steven May and Jake Melksham are both unavailable due to their altercation a couple of days ago. Also on the sidelines are key posts Joel Smith and Tom McDonald who both have ankle injuries.
The Demons were cruising along at 10-0 but now find themselves in a bit of a form slump, which was compounded by some inhouse fighting after last weekend’s loss. The Demons have lost back-to-back games against the Dockers and the Swans despite leading in both matches by 4+ goals. Still, the Demons remain on top of the ladder and can go one game clear of the Lions and the Dockers with a good performance against the Magpies.
Match Prediction
If this match was played a couple of weeks ago then the Demons would be the overwhelming favourites, but a lot has changed over the past fortnight and the Magpies will feel they’re a legitimate chance of recording their fourth straight win. Additionally, the Magpies have performed well in this fixture with wins in four of their last five attempts against the Demons, including last year when they won 80-63 in Nathan Buckley’s last game as coach. With history on their side as well as recent form, I’m happy to be with the Magpies to at least cover the spread on Monday afternoon.

Prop Bets
Josh Daicos has had a really good consistent season of footy and is a reliable leg for your Same Game Multi’s. He’s had 20+ touches in 9/12 matches this season and remains really good value.
Josh Daicos 20+ Disposals ($1.73 Ladbrokes)
Nick Daicos exploded for 36 disposals against the Hawks last weekend and would’ve gained a lot of confidence from his performance. He’s a natural winner of the ball and I can see him going on with it against the Demons.
Nick Daicos 25+ Disposals ($1.88 Ladbrokes)
Brody Mihocek started the season on fire with 18 goals from his first eight matches before having a couple of quiet weeks. However, he gets a look at a vulnerable Melbourne defence this week and I can see him getting plenty of looks at the big sticks.
Brody Mihocek 2+ Goals ($1.90 Ladbrokes)
