Sydney vs Richmond Betting Tips
SCG, Friday 27th May, 7.50pm (AEST)
Sydney
Injuries: Harry Cunningham, Josh Kennedy, Sam Naismith, Angus Sheldrick (Out)
The Swans are looking pretty good on the injury front at the moment, with only a few of their best 22 out with injury. Josh Kennedy is the most notable of them, with the veteran suffering a serious hamstring injury in the loss to the Blues. Check out info on every teams injury list here.
The Swans have been inconsistent to say the least so far in 2022. They have strong wins over the likes of Geelong but have stumbled in recent weeks, dropping three of their last four games. They went down by 15 points to the Blues on Friday night and their midfield continues to be dominated week in week out.
Breakout stars from last season in the likes of Errol Gulden and Chad Warner seem to have taken a backward step in their progression and just aren't driving the Swans in the middle of the ground this season. With Kennedy now out for an extended period, they will be desperate for someone to stand up in the midfield.
Richmond
Injuries: Noah Balta, Kane Lambert, Tom Lynch (Out) Jack Graham (Test)
The Tigers have a similar amount of injured players heading into the clash, but the caliber of player is far higher. Tom Lynch has looked like one of the best forwards in the comp over the last month, but will miss with a hamstring injury as well Balta and Lambert.
The Tigers have been in brilliant form of late, winning their last four games on the trot and most recently belting the Bombers in the Dreamtime at the G clash. Dion Prestia was dominant in the win, racking up 36 touches while Jack Riewoldt stepped up in the absence of Tom Lynch, booting four goals.
Match Prediction
It's make or break for the Swans here and I think they have the ability to win at home, but I'm not willing to take them at the 12.5 point line. I like the look of the overs here instead. The weather looks clear on Friday night in Sydney. The Swans are the 4th highest scoring team int he competition, having scored or allowed 100+ points in seven of their 10 games this season.
The Tigers are the 2nd highest scoring team in the competition, having also scored or allowed 100+ in seven out of 10 games. Back the overs here.

Really like me some Isaac Heeney this Friday night. I think Heeney will be required a lot more in the midfield with Kennedy out of the line-up. He racked up 24 touches in the loss to Carlton after Kennedy went down, so I think there is value for him to get 25+ this weekend, particularly at Bet Right where you can get a whopping $4.60.
Isaac Heeney 25+ Disposals ($4.60 at Bet Right)
Liam Baker has had at least one scoring shot in seven of his 10 games so far this season, kicking six goals. He has been playing a little more in the midfield of late but with Lambert coming out of the side, Baker's midfield rest might be spent up forward. I like $2.35 for him to snag 1+.
Liam Baker 1+ Goal ($2.35 at Bet Right)
