Geelong vs Port Adelaide Betting Tips
GMHBA Stadium, Saturday 21st May, 1.45pm (AEST)
Geelong
Ins: Gary Rohan, Jed Bews
Outs: Cooper Stephens, Gyran Miers, Mitch Knevitt
Gary Rohan will make his long awaited 2022 debut and will add to an already dynamic looking forward line. Still on the sidelines with injury is Sam Menegola, Shaun Higgins and Esava Ratugolea.
The Cats looked on top of the Saints through the early portion of their Round 9 clash. They played well in the first half and took a 16 points lead into the main break. The Saints ran them off their feet in the 3rd quarter and blitzed them with tackling pressure, piling on seven goals to just two in the third quarter to all but run away with the game.
You have to wonder why the Cats aren't getting the most out of themselves at the moment. Their injury list isn't terrible, and their star players are in decent form, but they seem to go missing for small stretches in games. It could be considered a good thing that they are 5-4 and in the top eight given they haven't been at their best. They have winnable games against the Crows, Roos and Eagles over the next month that they will be hoping can catapult their season.
Port Adelaide
Ins: Tom Jonas, Trent Dumont
Outs: Martin Frederick, Orazio Fantasia, Xavier Duursma
The Power's injury list looks solid at the moment, they are only awaiting returns of Trent McKenzie and Scott Lycett from their best 22.
The Power have won four games on the trot to charge back into contention for the top eight. They now sit just one game behind the eighth placed Tigers and they can draw level with the Cats with a win at GMHBA Stadium.
Even after a dominant 69 point win over the Kangaroos on the weekend, coach Ken Hinkley still omitted three players from his side for the Saturday afternoon clash. Tom Jonas makes a timely return to the side and his defence will prove absolutely critical against the tall Cats forward line.
Match Prediction
The Cats haven't done a lot to impress me so far this season, but it's just so hard to bet against them at GMHBA Stadium. They handed the Lions their only loss of the season down in Geelong earlier this year and I'm willing to write that Dockers loss at home off due to the fact that it was played so defensively in windy conditions.
The Cats are 25/5 in their last 30 games at GMHBA Stadium, while the Power haven't won in Geelong since all the way back in 2007, a span that covers their last seven trips there. I think the Power keep this relatively close, especially with Jonas coming back into the side to stop Tom Hawkins getting off the leash.

Prop Bets
After a slow start to the season with 19, 16 and 16 disposals in his first three games, Zach Touhy has had a significant role change in the Cats side, playing further up the ground and getting plenty more of the ball. Since Round 4, he is averaging 25.3 disposals per game and is coming off 26 against the Saints on the weekend.
Zach Touhy 25+ Disposals ($2.20 at Bet Right)
The days of Mitch Duncan averaging 25+ disposals per game for an entire season seem to be done and dusted, but the accumulator is still definietely capable of having big games every now and then. Just a few weeks ago, he rakced up 33 touches against the Giants to lead all players on the ground. This is strictly a value play, but I think $11.00 for Duncan to top his group in disposals is a great price.
