Another Wednesday means some good midweek racing to get us through the week.
There’s a strong card of racing at Randwick-Kensington and Ballarat today and Billy Bestford has had a look across the meetings and has found his best bets for the day.
Today's Racing Tips: Wednesday, May 18th
Randwick-Kens Race 2
(9) Koshu has looked very smart at a recent trial and loved the way he ran through the line without being asked for much extra effort. McDonald rode him that day and as a good lead he sticks for the ride on race day. Expect this horse to win a few better races than this.
Randwick-Kens Race 5
Looking forward to seeing (3) Niffler return to the track today and she brings a good fresh record into this. Unbeaten from two first up runs and was most impressive fresh last prep over this trip. She’ll improve over further but looks the obvious here.
Ballarat Race 5
No prizes for finding him but (4) Outback Action looks extremely hard to beat stepping into a weak bm64 off the back of a super impressive maiden win. Jumped straight to the front there and the further they went, the further in front he went. Expect he adopts similar tactics today and looks an exciting horse.
Randwick-Kens Race 6
(6) Po Kare Kare resumes today and looked above average in the two starts we saw of her. Trialled up well enough for this and the booking of Jmac is always a positive. No doubt she still has a stack of upside and the stable have taken plenty of time with her.
From the inside draw she maps for a gun run and will just need the gaps to come at the right time.
