NBA Betting Tips: Monday, 11th of April
Boston Celtics at Memphis Grizzlies
FedExForum, 9am AEST
The Celtics lost their heavyweight clash with the Bucks last time out, putting an end to their three-game win streak in the process. Despite the loss it was another strong performance from the Celtics who haven’t lost a game by a double-figure margin in over six weeks. They remain in third spot in the East standings but can slip to fourth with a loss here.
The Grizzlies were able to snap a mini two-game losing streak with a thumping victory against the Pelicans in their most recent outing. They poured in 141 points and still haven’t scored less then 100 since way back in January. Due to the Grizzlies form in the second half of the season, they will finish with the second-best record in the NBA.
This will be the second and obviously the last game between these teams this season, unless of course they meet in the NBA Finals. The Celtics won the reverse fixture 120-107 at the start of March, but now the Grizzlies get their turn on their home deck. Both teams come into this in strong form and it could genuinely go either way, which makes the Grizzlies line the value here.

Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans
Smoothie King Center, 11:30am AEST
The Warriors put an end to a run of seven losses from eight games with wins in each of their last four. They were too good for the red-hot Spurs on the road last outing and put an end to the Lakers season in the game prior to that. All things considered, it’s been a really strong season for the Warriors, particularly with all the injuries to key players they’ve been dealt.
The Pelicans have been in some strong form in recent weeks, but that didn’t help them last time out when they were destroyed to the tune of 27 points by the Grizzlies. The good news for the Pelicans is that they haven’t lost back-to-back games since the beginning of March, although they have lost two of their last four by 19+ points.
The first meeting between these teams was about as one-sided as they come, with the Warriors winning 126-85 on their home deck. However, the Pelicans managed to avenge that loss at the beginning of the new year with a 101-96 in New Orleans. Now heading into their third and final meeting for the season tied at 1-1, it’s the Warriors who I fancy as the team most equipped to take out the series. They’ve won each of their last four in convincing fashion and are simply the more consistent and reliable team in this contest.

Los Angeles Lakers at Denver Nuggets
Ball Arena, 11:30am AEST
The Lakers looked to be in a strong position a couple of weeks ago to at least make the Play-In tournament, but they then proceeded to go on an eight-game losing streak that put an end to their season. They did however, managed to get back on the winners list last time out, but it was against a Thunder team that is playing a bunch of guys 99% of NBA fans have never heard of.
The Nuggets continue to tick over the win column and did so last time out against the Grizzlies who they defeated by 13 points. That was a great way to bounce back from their 19-point loss against the Spurs, which was probably just an anomaly. Due to their consistent form over the course of the season, the Nuggets have earned themselves a top six spot in the West.
Like most teams this season, the Nuggets have a great record against the Lakers with wins in two out of two meetings. The blasted them off the court by 37 points in their first meeting and solved them once again by double-digits in their second clash. With how things are going for the Lakers this season, it’s hard to see this being anything but another blowout win for the Nuggets.
