Another Wednesday means some strong midweek racing to get us through the week. There’s meetings at Sandown and Warwick Farm where we can hopefully find a few winners.
Billy Bestford has had a look across the meetings and has found his best bets for the day.
Today's Racing Tips: Wednesday, March 23rd
Warwick Farm R1
Have really liked the trials of (6) King Of Naples and he looks an exciting Colt for the O’Shea stable. Both trials have been on heavy tracks with Jmac in the saddle and it’s good to see the horse gets a pretty similar combination today. Draws well and I don’t think he’ll be a maiden for long.
Sandown R2
(2) Adele Armour was a good winner fresh last prep and the horse she beat that day was Barb Raider. We all know the heights that horse has gone on to reach, recently winning the group 2 Kewney Stakes. This horse wasn’t out of place in some strong 2yo races towards the end of last prep and has jumped out really well for her return. Expect her to roll forward and I think she looks hard to beat.
Sandown R4
Very interesting race this and all eyes will be on the UK import (5) Old Flame. This horse won two races back in the UK, the most recent by 8.5L as a very short priced favourite. Only lossed have come on rain affected going so I think he will enjoy these conditions today. The trial was really impressive and the horse he crossed the line with there has since come out and bolted in. Kah jumps on from a good draw and I think he’s got a bit of X factor about him.
Sandown R5
Looking forward to seeing (1) Sense Of Honour back at the races after a long lay off. This horse looked like she could be anything with a couple of handy wins across her two early preps but has had a few setbacks. She’s now back and a recent jumpout was very impressive which is enough for me to think she’s ready to show her full potential now. The form out of the races she’s been in has been super with the likes of Savannah Cloud and Standoff finishing behind her. She’s exciting and hoping we can see the best of her.

Plenty to like from the Australian debut of (4) Diamil who did a little bit wrong but was very good through the line behind a smart horse. Straight up to the mile now is much more suitable and the wet track will once again do him no harm. Should see every favour in the run and he looks extremely hard to beat with the benefit of race fitness and local experience now under the belt.
