NBL 2021-22 Team Rosters & Futures Bets
Each roster consists of 11 players, with three imports, two development players, as well as a ‘next star’. Rosters are accurate as of the 15th of November.
Adelaide 36ers
The 36ers are coming off a season to forget where they won only 13 of their 36 games. Josh Giddey departed for the NBA but they’ve added some more playmaking with the like of Mitch McCarron coming across from Melbourne United.
Roster: Isaac Humphries, Mitch McCarron, Kai Sotto, Daniel Johnson, Todd Withers, Sunday Dech, Tad Dufelmeier, Emmanuel Malou, Dusty Hannahs, Mojave King.
Coach: CJ Bruton
Brisbane Bullets
The Bullets narrowly missed the playoffs last campaign and are running it back with a similar roster this season. They’ll be hoping that a fitter Lamar Patterson will be where a lot of their improvement comes from. Disappointingly, the Bullets weren’t able to re-sign Vic Law who has joined the Red Army in Perth.
Roster: Anthony Drmic, Isaiah Moss, Jason Cadee, Max Mackinnon, Tom Digbeu, Lamar Patterson, Tanner Krebs, Nathan Sobey, Liu Chuanxing, Tyrell Harrison, Deng Deng, Jack Salt, Tamuri Wigness, Robert Franks, Taane Samuel.
Coach: James Duncan
Cairns Taipans
The Taipans were easily the most disappointing team in the 2020-21 season where they finished with an 8-28 record and the wooden spoon. Scotty Machado returns to lead the team at the point guard position once again, but will likely have to carry a very heavy load on offense with little firepower around him.
Roster: Kouat Noi, Majok Deng, Nathan Jawai, Tahjere McCall, Keanu Pinder, Stephen Zimmerman, Bul Kuol, Scott Machado, Mirko Deric, Jarrod Kenny, Jordan Ngatai.
Coach: Adam Forde
Illawarra Hawks
The Hawks were the surprise packet last campaign when they finished third on the ladder a pushed the Wildcats to a deciding game in the playoffs. They bring back Tyler Harvey who’s one of the favourites in the MVP market, while Sam Froling and Justinian Jessup will be the other key pieces to their success.
Roster: Justinian Jessup, Daniel Grida, Sam Froling, Tim Coenraad, Duop Reath, Harry Froling, Akoldah Gak, Antonius Cleveland, Tyler Harvey, Isaac White, Emmett Naar, Andrew Ogilvy, Lachlan Dent.
Coach: Brian Goorjian
Melbourne United
Melbourne United capped off a superb 2020-21 season with a championship. They have lost two of their star players in the off-season however, with Mitch McCarron joining the 36ers and Jock Landale joining the NBA. Hoping to fill some of the void will be new recruits Matthew Dellavedova and Caleb Agada.
Roster: Matthew Dellavedova, Callum Dalton, Dion Prewster, Jack White, Ariel Hukporti, David Barlow, Mason Peatling, David Okwera, Chris Goulding, Shea Ili, Jo Lual-Acuil, Zac Triplett, Brad Newley, Will Hickey, Caleb Agada.
Coach: Dean Vickerman

New Zealand Breakers
The Breakers have shaken up their roster in the off-season in hope of bouncing back from a really poor 2020-21 campaign where they finished second last. Finn Delaney will be their star man from the outset, while Peyton Siva is their import expected to play a major role from the point guard position.
Roster: Finn Delany, Yanni Wetzell, Kyrin Galloway, William McDowell-White, Thomas Abercrombie, Ousmane Dieng, Isaac Davidson, Robert Loe, Rasmus Bach, Hugo Besson, Sam Timmins, Peyton Siva, Jeremiah Martin.

Perth Wildcats
The Wildcats biggest loss in the off-season was at the coaching position with 5x championship winner Trevor Gleeson moving to the NBA. They’re still one of the favourites for the title however, with a healthy Bryce Cotton returning alongside their star recruit in Vic Law.
Roster: Mitch Norton, Kyle Zunic, Bryce Cotton, Todd Blanchfield, Majok Majok, Luke Travers, Jesse Wagstaff, Corey Shervill, Vic Law, Jack Purchase, Kevin White.
Coach: Scott Morrison

South East Melbourne Phoenix
The Phoenix had a really solid second year in the competition where they were able to make the playoffs and push the eventually champions in Melbourne United. Mitch Creek returns to lead the charge, while Zhou Qi of China is their prized import.
Roster: Zhou Qi, Ryan Broekhoff, Mitch Creek, Cameron Gliddon, Kyle Adnam, Xavier Munford, Reuben Te Rangi, Izayah Mauriohooho-Le’afa, Tohi Smith-Milner, Dane Pineau.
Coach: Simon Mitchell
Sydney Kings
The Kings missed out on the playoffs by a matter of percentage last year and will be hoping that a better run with health for their star man in Jarell Martin, coupled with some of their other roster changes will get them over the hump this campaign.
Roster: Dejan Vasiljevic, Makur Maker, Angus Glover, Shaun Bruce, Matur Maker, Wani Swaka Lo Buluk, Xavier Cooks, RJ Hunter, Jarell Martin, Tom Vodanovich, Biwali Bayles, Jaylin Galloway, Jordan Hunter, Jaylen Adams.
Coach: Chase Buford

Tasmania Jack Jumpers
The Jack Jumpers will make their long-awaited debut in the NBL this season with coach Scott Roth at the helm. They have some solid NBL veterans on their roster with the likes of Will Magnay, Jack McVeigh and Jarred Bairstow, but seem to be lacking an out and out star who will carry them down the stretch in close games.
Roster: Jack McVeigh, Nikita Mikhailovskii, Sean MacDonald, Josh Adams, Jock Perry, Fabijan Krslovic, Jarred Bairstow, Will Magnay, Sam McDaniel, Clint Steindl, Jarrad Weeks, MiKyle McIntosh, Matt Kenyon, Josh Magette, Sejr Deans.
