NBA Saturday offers up another huge slate this week with 11 games on the card. We’ve had a great week with our tips to date and are confident we can finish it on a high on Saturday. Check out all our plays below and good luck if following!
NBA Betting Tips: Saturday, 13th of November
Brooklyn Nets at New Orleans Pelicans
Smoothie King Center, 12pm AEDT
The Nets had a tough start to the season with two wins from their first five games, but have come on strong since with six wins from their last seven. Kevin Durant has been in blistering form to start his MVP campaign where he’s the early front-runner with box score splits of 30/9/5 on extremely efficient shooting.
The Pelicans season is quickly slipping away from them despite only being a couple of weeks deep. They’ve managed to win just one game to date and are currently on an eight-game losing streak, which is currently the worst streak in the league. Brandon Ingram has been in the mix to return after missing a number of games and might take to the court on Saturday.
Even if Ingram comes back for this clash, it’s likely he won’t be at 100% which means he won’t be having a major influence on the outcome of the game. Regardless, the Nets are by far the better team in this matchup and are in fantastic form leading in. We expect them to make very light work of the Pelicans on this occasion.
Phoenix Suns at Memphis Grizzlies
FedExForum, 12pm AEDT
The Suns had a shaky start to the season which had many pundits questioning whether or not their trip to the NBA Finals last weekend was a fluke. However, they’ve silenced the critics over the last couple of weeks when reeling off six straight wins, which has them coming into this Saturday slate with the best winning run in the league.
The Grizzlies have been good without being great to start the season and enter this clash with a record of 6-5. They’ve won back-to-back games twice so far this campaign but have been unable to build on that, which has been their only knock. Last time out they lost at home to the Hornets by 10 points, which was the second game of what will be a three-game home stand.
The Suns are arguably the form team of the league at the moment and will be full of confidence heading to Memphis. The Suns have done most of their damage on their home deck this season, but they had the best road record in the league a season ago, so we don’t expect their performance to dip on their travels. All things considered; we’re keen to be on the Suns to win this as the slight underdogs.
Minnesota Timberwolves at Los Angeles Lakers
Staples Center, 2:30pm AEDT
The Timberwolves started the season with a point to prove after a couple of really poor campaigns. They came out swinging with three wins from their first four games, but have fallen in a hole since to lose each of their last six. Once again, injuries have played a part in their downfall, although they’re expected to have a full complement of players available on Saturday.
The Lakers got off to a shaky start to the season with losses in their opening two games, but have been able to find some form since with wins in seven of their last 10 despite being without superstar LeBron James. Interestingly, the Lakers have gone to overtime in each of their last two games and three overall for their campaign, boasting a 3-0 record in such games.
The Timberwolves will be playing their third game of their current road trip on Saturday where they are currently 0-2 after losses against the Grizzlies and the Warriors. They now face a Lakers outfit that is starting to gel and reel off wins consistently, particularly on their home deck where they’ve won six of their last seven. Once again, we expect the Timberwolves to succumb to defeat.
