We’ve got good racing throughout the country this Wednesday, September 29th, with a strong meeting at Randwick-Kensington as well as Geelong playing host to an 8-race card.
As usual, Billy Bestford has cast his eye across the day’s racing and brings you his best bets to get us over the midweek hump!
Horse Racing Tips: Wednesday, September 29th
Randwick Kensington Race 1
(6) California Surreal looks ready to win now 3rd up and came with a nose of breaking her maiden last start behind the smart Kooled. She arguably should have won there but did a bit wrong in the straight and Jmac now jump aboard as she gets out to this trip for the first time. Winkers have been added to aid her cause and I think with natural improvement she should just be winning.

Randwick Kensington Race 3
Think (9) Beep Test can handle the step up in grade today as he goes in search of his third straight win. Looks to have found his straps this prep and comes into this off the back off two dominant front-running wins. There looks to be a heap of pace on in this race so I’m hoping McDonald can slot in just behind those leaders and peel off them in the straight and be too strong. The forecast of rain will do his chances no harm either.
Randwick Kensington Race 5
Can’t see any reason to jump off (5) Promise Of Success who returned the track with a dominant win last start. She got back and let rip down the outside for an impressive win and only rises 1kg from that. Will enjoy give in the track and I think the rise to 1400m will do her no harm. Looks progressive.

Geelong Race 7
(3) Narvaez just looks a bit better than this lot and should be going very close here following a good fresh performance. Was only beaten by the fit and in-form Crestani there so that run will do his fitness a world of good. Out to 1400m is a tick and hoping Childs can dig him up early to roll across to the lead and should be tough to run down.
Geelong Race 8
Plenty to like about the debut win of (9) Pankhurst who backed up an impressive jumpout with a dominant 3L win over 1400m. Looks like she will love getting out in trip here today and looks a horse with a bit of upside. In a pretty open race I think she can run well. Can roll forward from the wide gate and should be able to sit in behind the speed and do her best work late.
