Milwaukee Bucks at Atlanta Hawks Prediction
The Bucks took the initiative in Game 5 with a strong win at home to take a 3-2 lead in this best-of-seven Eastern Conference Finals series. It was an impressive wire-to-wire performance for the bucks and an important one to win in order to keep home court advantage.
The Bucks were without Giannis Antetokounmpo in Game 5 after picking up what initially looked like a gruesome knee injury in the third quarter of Game 4. Thankfully, there’s no structural damage but he’s still expected to miss again in Game 6. With the Greek Freak out there was a need for the rest of his team to step up and that certainly happened on Friday with Brook Lopez (33 points), Khris Middleton (26 points), Jrue Holiday (25 points) and Bobby Portis (22 points) all having really good games.
The Hawks have some big injury concerns themselves with Trae Young’s bone bruising forcing him out of Game 5. The good news for him and his team is that he’s expected to suit up for Game 6 in Atlanta. Bogdan Bogdanovic (28 points) did his best to help his team in Young’s absence, but he was the only Hawks player that managed to score over 20 points in Game 5.
It’s do or die for the Hawks on their home deck on Sunday with one more loss enough to end their season and chance of playing in the NBA Finals. They’ll likely be boosted by the return of Trae Young from injury, which should be enough to give them the edge over the Bucks without Antetokounmpo who’s listed as highly unlikely to take part. It’s certainly not a high bet game for us, but we do agree with the bookies who have them as the slight favourites on their home deck.
Same Game Multi
For the first leg of our three-leg Same Game Multi we’ll be taking Bogdan Bogdanovic to score 18+ points. He’s been on a tear over the past two games with 20 and 28 points and will be playing big minutes in this do or die clash. For our second leg we’ll be taking Bobby Portis to score 15+ points. The scary-eyed man started in place of Antetokounmpo in Game 5 and delivered with 22 points in a playoff career-high 36 minutes, which means it’s fair to say he’ll be heavily in the rotation once again on Sunday. Finally, we’ll be including Khris Middleton to secure 8+ rebounds. There are a ton of rebounds up for grabs without Antetokounmpo and Middleton made the most of that in Game 5 when he had 13 of them. We expect him to be active on the glass again in Game 6.
