AFL Collingwood vs GWS Betting Tips
MCG, Saturday 7.25pm (AEST)
The Pies and Giants were both competitive but failed to get the job done in Round 3. Which team will bounce back when they face off at the MCG on Saturday night?
Match Prediction
The Pies were in control for the majority of the game on Thursday night in Round 3 against the Lions before a heart-breaking kick after the siren by youngster Zac Bailey won the game for Brisbane. The Pies now fall to 1-2 on the season and will be absolute desperate to capitalise on what is arguably the best injury list in the league and the home field advantage on Saturday night.
The Giants lost to the Demons in Round 3 to fall to 0-3 on the season and to compound the loss, they also suffered more injuries to key players with Phil Davis, Stephen Coniglio and Matt de Boer all going down. They join Tom Hutchesson, Adam Kennedy, Daniel Lloyd, Harry Perryman, Braydon Preuss, Sam Reid and Lachie Whitfield on the casualty list at the Giants.
Just impossible for me to back the Giants with any sort of confidence on Saturday night with the combination of their current form and their extensive injury list. Collingwood might not be the most talented team in the league but they are healthy at the moment, which will go a long way considering the pace AFL football is being played at this season. They should win this one at the G.
