We had a rare tough day on Tuesday with our NBA betting tips, but are confident we will bounce straight back on Saturday with some great plays on the key games of the day. Check them out below and good luck if following!
NBA Betting Tips: Saturday, 20th of March
San Antonio Spurs at Cleveland Cavaliers
Quicken Loans Arena, 10:45am AEDT
San Antonio Spurs are quietly going about their business and currently sit seventh in the West with a 21-16 record. They don’t have a squad full of starts, but like with any Pop team, they have a bunch of guys that excel in their role. The Spurs come into this in solid form having won three of their past four games.
Cleveland Cavaliers got off to a hot start this season but haven’t been able to remain consistent enough to stay competitive in the playoff race in the East. They did manage to knock off the Celtics in their most recent outing, but that snapped a them four-game losing streak in which they lost by 15+ points on three occasions.
The Spurs will be without DeMar DeRozan for this clash, but we still fancy them to get the job done against this Cavs unit. The fact that we’re getting $1.80 for the Spurs to beat a non-playoff calibre team is enough for us to fancy them, even if they are on the road.
Jarrett Allen has hit a rough patch in his form with the big man failing to score in double-figures for four straight games, which has seen his minutes decline. The bookies are yet to adjust their points line for him, so take advantage of his ‘unders’ here.

Detroit Pistons at Houston Rockets
Toyota Center, 11am AEDT
Detroit Pistons have had a tough year that was expected considering they’re clearly in rebuild mode. In saying that, the Pistons have remained a threat in most of the games this season and pulled off a nice win at home against the Spurs last time out.
Houston Rockets are in one hell of a slump at the moment and that’s probably being too kind. They’ve lost 18 games on the spin and were thumped from the outset by the Warriors last time out, making it 11 straight losses by double-digit margins.
One way or another, the Rockets find themselves as favourites in this game, which is just plain wrong. Any team that has lost 11 games in a row by 10+ points doesn’t deserve to be the favourites, so we’ll happily oppose them here by taking the Pistons to cover the small spread.

Minnesota Timberwolves at Phoenix Suns
PHX Arena, 1pm AEDT
Minnesota Timberwolves chalked up a surprise win against the Suns on Friday to make it two wins from their past three games. Having KAT back on the court is obviously helping them on both ends, but it was Anthony Edwards that did all the damage last start with a career-high 42 points.
Phoenix Suns, as mentioned above, lost to the worst team in the West on Friday when they led by double-figures during the third quarter. DeAndre Ayton was disappointing again and is starting to look like a genuine bust after being taken #1 a couple of seasons back. The Suns have now lost two of their past three and need to get back on track to remain in contention for a top four spot in the West.
The Suns are by far the better of these two teams and we expect them to bounce back in a big way on Saturday. It’s not often travelling teams come to the same court and grab two wins in as many days back-to-back and we can’t see it happening here. The Suns are too good to not win this game and we expect them to be emphatic in their response.
Devin Booker is our player of focus here and for good reason. He posted 35 points against the Timberwolves on Friday and always seems to find some of his best form against his good mate in KAT. In fact, Booker averages just shy of 35 across his past four games against the Timberwolves and should be in for another big night with the Suns bouncing back on Saturday.
Prop: Booker O27.5 Points ($1.81)
