Crystal Palace vs Liverpool
Saturday, 11:30pm AEDT
The primetime slot for Aussie punters this Saturday night sees Crystal Palace host Liverpool. Palace are coming off a decent three-match stretch where they’ve defeated West Brom and drawn with both Tottenham and West Ham. They’re currently 13th on the table but are playing a lot better than that now Wilfried Zaha is back fit and firing.
Liverpool were able to negotiate the win in their midweek clash against Tottenham thanks to a Firmino goal at the death. The defending champions still have just the one loss next to their name this season and have drawn three points clear at the top of the table.
Liverpool will start this match as the clear favourites and it’s not hard to see why considering the recent H2H between these clubs. However, Crystal Palace are an improving team and have multiple attacking threats that will cause a lot of issues for the injury-plagued champs. We’re expecting a match in which both teams have their fair share of chances to win and for it to go right down to the wire, thus making Palace double chance the value play.

Everton vs Arsenal
Sunday, 4:30am AEDT
Everton have returned to form after a lean spell to win back-to-back matches against quality opposition in Chelsea and Leicester. The Toffees had won just one of their past seven league matches prior, but they’re still only five points off top spot, such is the closeness of the competition this season.
Arsenal began their campaign in fine form with three wins from their opening four matches and looked to be a more competitive outfit than we’ve seen in recent years; however, that all changed after week four as they’ve managed to win just one match since, while losing on six occasions. The Gunners come into this weekend sitting 15th on the table and totally out of sorts.
Everton are clearly in the better form of these clubs and we’re surprised to see that they aren’t odds-on favourites to get the job done at home. Getting anything above $2 looks like fantastic value for a Toffee win in this matchup.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester City
Monday, 1:15am AEDT
Tottenham faced the toughest test in football at the moment when they took on Liverpool at Anfield midweek. They put in a solid performance but had their hearts broken late in the piece to go down 2-1. That loss was the first for the Spurs in 11 matches and they come into this weekend in second spot on the table.
Leicester were no match for Everton when they played hosts midweek, going down 2-0 in a lacklustre performance. The Foxes were on a two-match winning streak heading into that match, but are now 2-0-3 from their past five league matches. The Foxes are the only club without a draw this season and come into this weekend sitting fourth on the table.
Both of these clubs would be pleased with where they stand after the first third of the season. In saying that, Tottenham are certainly in the better form of the two and their chances of winning only increase on their home deck. At a near $2 quote, we’re more than happy to be with the home side in this one, especially when you consider they’ve won four of their past five league meetings with the Foxes.
