EPL Matchday 4 Betting Tips
Everton vs Brighton & Hove Albion
Goodison Park, Sunday 12am AEST
Everton continued their dream start to season 2020-21 with a win over Crystal Palace last weekend. Their new-look starting XI have gelled a lot quicker than most anticipated and they come into this round with three wins from three games as a result.
Brighton put in a great shift against Manchester United last time out and were desperately unlucky not to secure at least one point. The Gulls hit the post a record five times in the match and ended losing thanks to a 100th minute VAR-assisted penalty.
Everton are in great form and are one of just four clubs with a perfect record coming into Matchday 4. We don’t expect them to have it all their way however, because Brighton have played brilliantly in large patches in each of their three games. We expect the Toffees to have the slight edge at home, but are keener on attacking the goals over markets.
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Fulham
Molineux Stadium, Monday 12am AEST
Wolverhampton started the new season on fire with two goals in the first six minutes of their Matchday 1 clash, but they haven’t had much to celebrate since. They were convincingly beaten by Manchester City in their second start, before being thrashed by the Hammers last time out.
Fulham have struggled to adapt to the pace of the Premier League and come into this weekend on the bottom of the table. They’ve lost all three of their matches and have conceded 3+ goals in each of them. They’re the bookies favourite to get relegated this season and haven’t given us any reason why that won’t be the case.
Wolverhampton Wanderers were the worst performing team in Matchday 3 and will be desperate to bounce back with a win. They get probably the easiest fixture they could’ve hoped for under these circumstances and we expect them to take full advantage of it with an easy win at home.

Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur
Old Trafford, Monday 2:30am AEST
Manchester United were upset by Crystal Palace in the first game of their new campaign, but were able to get back on the winners list in their second Premier League match, defeating Brighton 3-2 on the road. It was probably the least convincing win you’ll ever witness, so they won’t be taking too much confidence from it.
Tottenham bounced back from a disappointing opening day loss to Everton with a 5-2 demolition job over Southampton in Matchday 2. They weren’t able to build on that big win last time out however, drawing 1-1 at home against an improved Magpies side.
The Red Devils haven’t impressed us one bit in their two games against what are supposed to be far inferior teams. They now face their biggest test so far when they host a Tottenham lineup that have shown glimpses of excellence. All things considered, United are far too short in the market and the quote for a Tottenham win is too good to refuse.
