Horse Racing Tips: Sunday, June 7th

June 6th 2020, 10:45pm, By: Luke Krahe

Welcome to our horse racing preview and betting tips for racing on Sunday, June 7th.

It's another big day of racing around Australia to close out what's already been a big weekend! Meetings at Hawkesbury, Sapphire Coast and the Swan Hill carnival headline Sunday's racing, and Luke Krahe has provided his best bets for the day below!

Horse Racing Tips: Sunday, June 7th

Hawkesbury Race 1- (Market)

(2) Chief Geronimo is having his second start for the Gai/Bott team, he was easy in the betting at his debut and after having a gun run behind the speed, hit the line well for second but did have every chance. This looks no easier and although the stable is known for its horses finding the front, I like the way that (1) Zounate is drawn outside him and can apply the pressure early. The Gary Portelli trained gelding gets the services/claim of in-form apprentice Louise Day, he has placed here at the track at both runs, something that can’t be overlooked at a track like this that can be a graveyard. Hopefully she pushes on early on him and finds the top, there are no stars chasing and he will keep kicking. I think the Gai runner will drift and can see Zounate starting fave.

(1) Zounate

$2.90

Hawkesbury Race 3 - (Market)

The Snowden team bring (1) California Cible to the races for start two, he debuted at Canterbury 10 days ago on the heavy track. He was easy in the betting after some fair trials, and settled back in the field. He gave the leaders 6 lengths at the top of the straight before getting clear and running on well. He had to be steadied at the furlong pole and was good through the line to get within 3 lengths at the finish. 1250m-1400m looks ideal and should settle closer. Go again in the run if he does settle up on the speed.

(1) California Cible

$3.80

Swan Hill Race 1 - (Market)

Connections of (10) Intellective must be getting a little frustrated after placing at her first five runs and then finishing fourth last time as a beaten favourite. The daughter of Tornado for Beetroot Williams resumed at Donald a month ago, she was very well backed from black figures into a SP of $1.90. She was forced to sit three-wide no cover, got up outside the speed and loomed up to win before running out of condition. She then went to Ballarat on the heavy track and was beaten a couple of lengths. Two couple of key factors today, she steps up to a mile for the first time and should be able to control the speed, she also gets back off the heavy track and back on top of the ground.

(10) Intellective

$4.00

Sapphire Coast Race 1 - (Market)

(2) Without Equal debuted six months ago at Moruya, he was unwanted in the betting coming off a poor trial and after showing some tactical speed, weakened badly and was well beaten. He was sent straight to the paddock and has had one trial. At Kembla three weeks ago he was fairly away before railing up on the worst part of the track. He was never placed under pressure, he stuck on well enough against much better performed horses. He looks to have come back a lot better and shouldn’t be a maiden for long, a replay of that trial can be found here.

(2) Without Equal

$5.50
