Hawkesbury Racing Tips – Saturday, April 22nd 2023
Race 6
(3) Amdermatt is drawn perfectly here to make amends for his performance in the Group 1 Galaxy last start. He was held up for a run there and unable to show his true ability. He was, and still is in good form so with the perfect set up here should be hard to beat.
(10) A Very Fine Red will enjoy settling back off a solid tempo in this race similar to the top selection. She’s got barely any weight to carry and has strong stats on soft ground as well as this distance.
(4) Titanium Power is in good form and should run well again but looks likely to be caught in a speed battle for the lead with plenty of other quick horses entered in this race. If he overcomes this issue he may well be the horse to beat.
(3) Andermatt - Win
$2.80 (2 Units)
Race 7
(1) The Fortune Teller is reaching new levels this preparation as he matures and develops into an exciting racehorse. Last start was a clear indication of that winning the Carbine Club Stakes. Wide gate here is a slight query but he’s capable of overcoming it.
(2) Kote will not have to work as hard here as last start where he worked to the lead from a wide gate and was held out by a few quick horses on his inside. Less pace in this race, drier track and the horse can bounce back.
(3) Hell I Am can’t be forgotten about even after producing a few subpar performances recently. The good draw on Saturday will help the horse return to form and produce a solid run.
(1) The Fortune Teller - Each Way
$4.90/$2 (1 Unit)
Race 10
(12) Estadio Mestalla should receive a beautiful run mid-race from gate 3 under Joao Moreira. He’s a magician when it comes to finding room up the inside in the straight and he’ll be looking to do just that aboard this horse on Saturday. Expect a solid performance to win with even luck.
(5) Wicklow is a reliable performer and was unlucky last start when held up quite significantly. Gets a repeat chance here under Nash Rawiller this time and is capable of winning.
(3) Spangler must be in considerations and hasn’t been left out by the market after winning the provincial championships at Randwick last start. James McDonald remains aboard and looks a live chance in the race.
(12) Estadio Mestalla - Win
$3.50 (2 Units)
