Happy Valley hosts its final meeting of the season tonight with Zac Purton the star of the show having broken the record for wins in a single season. He has a few exciting rides tonight so could extend that record yet! Check out our Happy Valley top selections below!
Happy Valley Racing Tips: Wednesday July 12th
Race 1: Street Cat Hcp C5 – 1000m (20:45 AEST)
(3) Har Har Heart is well placed here in gate 2 having worked home well from back in the field last time. He should settle much closer this time given the more favourable draw so Karis Teetan could be in for a good start to his night.
(2) Circuit Seven might be able to lead here and if he does could be very hard to beat. If not, he’ll likely be caught wide and struggle to finish in the top 3. That’s not a recipe worth taking even money on.
(5) Noble Boyz has Hugh Bowman on tonight and did go alright last time. He drops to 1000m here after working home late over 1200m which is a minor concern but he could fill the minors.
(3) Har Har Heart e/w
$10/$2.7 (1 unit)
Race 3: Fast Most Furious Hcp C4 – 1200m (21:45 AEST)
(2) Flaming Passion is the obvious selection here at an e/w price having won his last 2 races. He remains in C4 despite the solid form and can break into C3 with a win tonight.
(5) Joy Coming was electric from back in the field last time demonstrating some ability which is yet to be seen from him in his short career. Positive signs if he can go on with it tonight but hard to trust him just yet.
(9) Wind Speeder is in the market because of Zac Purton here. He is drawn well and hasn’t been too bad recently but is under his appropriate price because of who’s riding.
(2) Flaming Passion e/w
$6/$2.3 (1 unit)
Race 4: Kings Falcon Hcp C4 – 1000m (22:15 AEST)
(3) Fast Serve won on debut and can repeat here. He’s drawn well enough to take the lead early and on a fast surface he should be able to hold on for the win. Short though.
(6) Ace Talent is drawn well enough to also run well here. He’s going to put himself in the race early and should be kicking strongly in the straight.
(2) Savvy Delight can’t be ignored here having worked well through the line last time after being wide all the way. He’s not drawn much better this time but with a better run can threaten.
(3) Fast Serve win
$2 (3 units)
