We are back with another slate of mid-week racing tips for this Wednesday, the 9th of August. This week we take a look at the big ten race card at Geelong as well as the 7 race card at Canterbury and give our tips for every race below.
GEELONG RACING TIPS
R1 - Zoophoria / Here De Fox EW
R2 - Hunting Tower
R3 - Once Upon A Dream / Eira EW
R4 - Rip Girl
R5 - Crystal Fountain
R6 - Bastille (Best Bet)
R7 - Bit Of A Lad
R8 - I'm Telling Ya
R9 - Blazing Socks
R10 - Pablo's Express
Best Bet: Race 6 Bastille
Highly promising four-year-old from the Hayes/Dabernig camp that won his first two starts before bumping into Theanswermyfriend in Saturday city class. First up from a spell here and was good without being tested in a jumpout leading into this. Well drawn and should be winning this.
Best Value: Race 3 Eira
Trials leading into debut haven't been overly inspiring but the booking of Damian Lane grabs my attention. There's been a little trickle of money and worth including at double figure odds.
CANTERBURY RACING TIPS
R1 - Runaway
R2 - Regimen
R3 - Smartedge
R4 - Chaterlard / Marman EW
R5 - Nassak EW / Eccelare EW
R6 - Super Star Bob
R7 - Balius EW
Best Bet: Race 3 Smartedge
Absolutely backed off the map on debut at Newcastle but found one better. The horse that beat him then went to Rosehill on a Saturday and won again. The form stacks up and that makes Smartedge hard to beat around $2.15 mark.
Best Value: Race 5 Eccelare
Flying with a win and two seconds in her past three starts. Won over track and distance last start, and with 51kg today she can give them something to chase at $12.
