TNC Predator vs Team Adroit
DOTA2 BTS Pro Series: SEA
TNC Predator are set to conclude their BTS Pro Series: SEA group stage venture with a clash against Team Adroit, who are the only team standing in their way in to a guaranteed top-four finish and a direct bye into the playoffs. Team Adroit are entering this bout following a 1-2 loss against Fnatic on Tuesday, which is still a solid result, considering Fnatic are objectively the strongest team at the tournament.
Overall, neither side managed to impress throughout BTS Pro Series, which is kind of say, especially for TNC Predator, who should have done a much better job. While they are coming into this match after securing a win against T1, the match was much closer than anyone had expected, clearly indicating TNC are not in the best shape. In fact, TNC Predator did not look good for a couple of months now, which begs the question whether they really should be priced as the favourites here? Perhaps it's fair to believe TNC have a better chance to claim the spoils due to the individual quality they possess, but as far as their overall performance throughout the tournament suggests, it won't be an easy match. From what I see, this match is a complete coin-toss, where it's difficult to predict which team will win. Not only did Adroit and TNC look equally mediocre, this match will also be played in an online format, which by its nature produces volatile results. I expect to see a thrilling three-map series, and while Adroit are far from guaranteed to win here, at 2.11 a bet on them should be considered.
T1 vs DragonX
LOL LCK 2020 Spring Split playoffs
T1 are entering this match as favourites and I don't have any arguments to make against that. Despite the fact that the three-time world champions entered 2020 with an objectively weaker team to what they had last season, T1 looked just as impressive as you would expect. They had their ups and downs throughout the season, and perhaps they're still slightly weaker compared to Gen.G, but in all fairness, the way T1 played, they're currently one of the top-5 teams in the world.
DragonX, on the other side are in my book a team that is getting way too much praise for what they have shown. While they field some exceptional talent, the team as a whole is performing very sloppy and from what it seems they're suffering from some communication issues. The problem with DragonX is that they have flown under the radar for most of the season. While they managed to crush most of their opposition in the LCK, they did so by simply outmuscling the weaker teams, while their record against stronger teams shows a completely different picture. While this team has the potential to be world champions in terms of raw talent they have, it's the communication and synergy problems that hold them back and those are the main factors why I can't trust DragonX to defeat T1.
From what we have seen, T1 should win this bout with ease nine times out of ten, and with 1.90 offered on -1.5 map handicap, we don't need to think twice before siding with Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok and co. to win with at least two maps to spare.
Gen.G vs 100 Thieves
CS:GO ESL One: Road to Rio – North America
Gen.G are coming into this match on the heels of a disappointing run at FLASHPOINT league, where they only managed to pick up wins against weaker sides, including Dignitas (twice), Envy and FunPlus Phoenix. On the other side, they lost three fixtures against MIBR, Cloud9 and HAVU. While Gen.G were abysmal in the FLASHPOINT league, 100 thieves were putting up mediocre performances at the ESL Pro League. There they played a total of five online matches, won two against Swole Patrol and Evil Geniuses and lost to Team Liquid, MIBR and FURIA.
Both teams have a similar map pool and if we happen to see bans of Overpass and Vertigo, this could turn out to be a very open match that can easily go to the distance. 100Thieves will most likely still come out ahead here, however, considering both sides had their iffy moments in recent fixtures, I would not bet on either side to win. We must also consider both teams will come into the match a little rusty as they haven't played a lot of games in recent weeks, which suggests this bout can go either way. Bet on the series to go into the distance.
