Natus Vincere vs B8
DOTA2 WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1
Both Natus Vincere and B8 lost their opening fixtures of WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1, against HellRaisers (0-2) and Team Spirit (0-2) respectively. The loss, however, probably hit NaVi more, as they were expected to show more against their regional rivals.
NaVi and B8 already met once before, at We!Save Charity play where NaVi won with a convincing 2-0. Although it would be easy to expect NaVi to put up a similar show here, I am not all too impressed with NaVi's performances lately. A five-game losing streak throughout ESL One Los Angeles 2020 - Online: Europe & CIS, where NaVi lost to Secret, NiP, Alliance, Team Spirit and Team Liquid, in addition to their 0-2 loss to HellRaisers in round one of Pushka League makes me very anxious to side with them.
Again, we will be looking at Danil "Dendi" Ishutin to help his team win here. Although it can be a hit-or-miss decision to count on Dendi to deliver and carry his team, I have a hard time believing NaVi are capable of producing a clean sweep here. Their morale is at an all-time low and although B8 are not exactly a strong team, they have shown enough for me to believe they can take one map off NaVi here. Bet on Dendi to win one map against his former team!
Team Liquid vs Alliance
DOTA2 WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1
Once again we are looking at a match with Team Liquid involved and once more I will say the same thing I have numerous times before - I don't trust this team and I am not impressed with their performances lately. Shockingly, esports bookmakers finally took notice of how poorly Team Liquid play and are for that reason priced as underdogs ahead of this bout. Having said that, at 1.75 on Alliance, this is still a bet worth taking, however, I would also suggest looking at an over 2.5 map bet, as this match could be closer than expected.
Complexity vs Vitality
CS:GO ESL One: Road to Rio Europe
Complexity and Vitality will be chasing their first win of the tournament this weekend in what promises to be an exciting clash between a rising Complexity and underperforming Vitality. Looking back, Complexity are coming into this match after a 1-2 loss to Astralis, while Vitality lost to Ninjas in Pyjamas. It would be fair to say Complexity played a significantly stronger opponent, so I will rank their loss a bit higher. Additionally, Complexity showed a lot of quality in their clash with the Danish powerhouse, which makes me believe they will do just fine against the French squad.
The main thing to mention here is the ongoing internal struggles Vitality are going through. Ever since they signed shox, everything started to fall apart. Their now-former IGL ALEX left the team, which ushered a signing of a new player, but instead of bringing in an established CS:GO pro, Vitality opted to sign an unproven young talent in misutaaa. He has yet to prove his worth and apeX, who took over as the new IGL has not impressed me yet with his leadership skills. Due to all the issues, which include internal struggles, new unproven player and lack of a solid IGL, its hard to understand why Vitality are priced as the favourites. While they have an advantage with their strong firepower, it's Complexity who have a better tactician on their team. This will be a battle of brains versus brawn, and as we know it's the former who usually come out ahead.
