Liverpool may have already been crowned champions but there’s still plenty to play for in the final three rounds of the 2019-20 EPL season. EPL Betting Tips Matchday 36
Arsenal vs Liverpool
Thursday 5:15am AEST
Arsenal have had some tough seasons in recent times but probably none more so than 2019-20. They come into this round in 9th spot with just 12 wins from 35 games and most recently lost to arch rivals, Tottenham. The Gunners have managed to score 51 goals from 35 games, which is far below what you’d expect from an Arsenal team at this stage in the season.
In stark contrast to Arsenal, Liverpool have had an incredible season and were able to wrap up the title with plenty of games to spare. They haven’t quite been in the best of form since play resumed, but you can forgive them for that considering how dominant they were prior.
Although Liverpool have dropped points in three of their six games since returning from hiatus, we still really like them against an inconsistent Gunners line-up. The Reds have won 30 out of their 35 league matches this season and are always a great H2H bet when they’re around the $2 mark and aren’t playing a team called Manchester City.
Leicester City vs Sheffield United
Friday 3am AEST
Whatever the Foxes were doing during their time off, it certainly hasn’t worked. They were embarrassed 4-1 by the lowly Cherries on the weekend and are now 1-3-3 in their seven games back. After such a fantastic start to their campaign, Leicester now face an uphill battle to finish inside the top four.
Sheffield United were sluggish out of the blocks post-hiatus but have found some of their best form in the past couple of weeks. They’ve managed to defeat Chelsea (3-0), Wolverhampton (1-0) and Tottenham (3-1) over the last fortnight and are pushing hard for a top six finish as a result.
The Blades clearly bring the better form of the two sides into this clash, which makes it very strange to see them as the big underdogs. Unless the Foxes completely turn their form around in just a couple of days, taking the Blades at around $4 looks a fantastic bet this round.
Crystal Palace vs Manchester United
Friday 5:15am AEST
Crystal Palace have flicked the switch off over the past month or so and look happy to just be out of the relegation battle. They’ve now lost five games on the spin and haven’t kicked a single goal in four of them. They’re one of many teams that don’t really have anything to play for in their remaining games, so it’s understandable that their motivation levels have dropped a touch.
Manchester United would be devastated to let slip a 2-1 lead over Southampton in the dying stages of their Tuesday morning clash. They would’ve slingshotted into third spot on the table had they held on, but now must rely on other results going their way in the final three games of the season.
Despite their disappointing result last time out, the Red Devils are now 18 games unbeaten in all competitions. They’re in far better form than their opponents in Crystal Palace and really should be winning this by a comfortable margin. We’re keen to back United in to return to the winners list and will be playing the handicap markets here.
