Racing is back at Eagle Farm this Saturday with nine races on the program. The rail is back to the TRUE position after being out 7m the last time we were here on 12 August. The first race is set to jump at 11:53am AEST and the last is to jump at 4:43pm AEST. Betting selections are for a GOOD track – watch and monitor if possible.

Eagle Farm Racing Tips: Saturday, September 2nd 2023
Race 4: The Conservatory At Tatts BM78 2200m at 1:38pm AEST
(6) TOP BOY ($6.00 / $2.10) – very open BM78 with many chances, but I think this bloke is over the odds / a great each-way play. Comes out of one of the key lead-up races when he ran third to CASH ME (current fav). He was forced to travel 5&6 wide turning for home that day and made a sustained run to the post (excellent effort / beat home COUP DE TONNERE who had every possible). I like how he was still strong through the line given the tough run he had which suggests the extra furlong will be no issue. He meets COUP DE TONNERE better at the weights for having beaten him and gets a massive 5kg swing on CASH ME who only beat him by 0.6L. They’ll need some luck from the gate and no leader bias, but I think Eagle Farm will suit him. Nice chance (1-unit ew)
(5) COUP DE TONNERRE ($4.60) – Picked this 6YO LS where he failed to fire, but didn’t have much luck. Takes on CASH ME again, but meets him much better at the weights here. Should see improvement and could be a chance here.
(4) CASH ME $3.70 – Won nicely last start and no one could catch him. Up in class, but gets a 2kg claim. Worth thought again.
(6) TOP BOY - E/W
$6/$2.10 (1 Unit)
Race 7: Des Lambert Memorial Plate C6 1200m at 3:27pm AEST
(2) ALL THAT PIZZAZZ ($6.00 / $1.95) – one of the better value bets of the day! Sound return over 1110m LS when well-backed (SP’d $2.90) running second to ORBISYN who’s flying. He beat home HATCHET that day which ties in with KAMAZAWA and ZARASTRO. He has a strong second-up profile and is 1 from 1 at the track. Second-up last prep he won impressively over 1200m in 3YO Open grade (beat EKATERINA that day – what price would she be here??) when he was doing his best work through the line. Gets an ideal gate for the Thompson / Gollan combination to sit in behind the speed and have last crack. Happy his way (1.5 units win)
(10) ZARASTRO $2.50 – Early favourite of the race who narrowly missed against HATCHET first up and then went on to win by more than 2L last start as top weight. Back down in weight for this third up run and is a nice chance against this field.
(2) ALL THAT PIZZAZZ - WIN
$6 (1.5 Units)
