AFL Round 15 Preview & Betting Tips
Collingwood vs Adelaide
Sunday 1:10pm AEST, June 25th, MCG
Both with deep finals runs on their mind, Collingwood and Adelaide will meet at the MCG on Sunday in front of what should be a healthy crowd.
Collingwood had a week off in Round 14 which would’ve been frustrating considering they lost their most recent clash which was against the Demons on Kings Birthday. Still, the Magpies had a fantastic first half of the season with 11 wins and two losses to their name and are right at the top of the list of premiership fancies.
Similarly, Adelaide had their scheduled bye last weekend and will be ready to attack the second half of the season with freshened up bodies. They were last in action in Round 13 against the Eagles where they recorded their biggest and easiest win of the season. They thumped the bottom-dwellers by 122 points and Tex Walker celebrated his 250th game in style with a career-best 10 goals.
The Crows would be content with their first half of the season which has seen them surge into finals calculations, but would also be cognisant that their road form needs to vastly improve if they’re going to genuinely contend for a premiership. They’ve only won once away from Adelaide Oval this season from five attempts and their sole win was by three points against the Hawks in Tassie, which isn’t something to hang your hat on this season. That type of road form barely cuts the mustard against the lower tier teams in the competition, and it certainly doesn’t against the likes of Collingwood who barely put in a bad performance.
On the flip side, the Magpies have won all six of their home fixtures this season and all six have been by at least two goals. They suffered a rare defeat last time out and will be eager to make amends on Sunday. I expect the Magpies to get the better of the Crows for the second time this season, covering the small spread in the process.

Collingwood to Win – The Magpies are incredible hard to beat at home and I expect them to be too strong again here.
Brody Mihocek 3+ Goals – He’s in career-best and All-Australian form. He’s the most likely for 3+ goals of any Magpies player.
Tom Mitchell 25+ Disposals – Quietly putting together a massive first season for the club. He’s back to his dominant ball-winning best.
