Utah State vs Northern Illinois
Today the Poinsettia Bowl will kick off at 1:30 AEST as the Utah State Aggies and the Nothern Illinois Huskies will travel to Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.
The line is basically a coin flip. With most Sportsbooks at +1 to -1 for either team. The Huskies finished the regular season undefeated but they got a wake up call last week against Bowling Green. They still put up 27 points but the Defense let Bowling Green put up 47. They will need to be alot more focused today against Utah State. However they have relied on their Offense all year and at 12-1 it seems to be a winning formula. Huskies Senior QB Jordan Lynch will play his last game today. This is also extra motivation for the Offense to send him out with a win.
Utah State might be slightly OVER valued today. This is the Aggies third straight Bowl apperance and they are also coming into today after a loss. Fresno State beat the Aggies 24-17 in the Mountain West Conference Championship game. For the record Utah State is 2-51 against ranked opponents after a loss. The Huskies just sneak into the BCS rankings at 23.
It should be a back and forth typr game but in most catergories we give a slight edge to Northern Illinois. Predicted score NIU 35 USU 28
