The poor Strikers are still yet to record a win/loss result in BBL09 after smoke haze led to the abandonment of their clash against the Thunder on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Scorchers are on the board after outlasting the Renegades at Optus Stadium on Saturday night.
Both sides head into Monday with unchanged 13 man squads.

Strikers vs Scorchers Betting Tips
Strikers
The main positive out of the Strikers no-result with the Thunder on Saturday was the fact they did bat first and reach 161/5 off their 20 overs. After early wickets fell (2-8), Weatherald and Carey both steadied the innings with 40s. Then Jono Wells finished off the Strikers innings with 55 not out, which included 5 fours and 2 sixes. So we like his chances of reaching 20 or more runs in this matchup. The Strikers top-order is weaker without Travis Head and the Scorchers have plenty of wicket-takers with the new ball. So we should see Wells bat plenty of overs if they do lose early wickets again. To top it off, Wells also scored a half-century in his last BBL innings against the Scorchers (69) after ending the BBL08 season with a bang.
Scorchers
Most of the Scorchers batting lineup rebounded on their home deck against the Renegades after a poor showing in Sydney. The top 5 combined for 11 sixes and Mitch Marsh added 6 of 11 in a brutal display against his brother’s new side. In the end, he finished with 56 not out and that made it 2 straight outings in BBL09 with a score over 20 runs. So he’s offering a good price to make it 3 on the trot. He should really enjoy the shorter square boundaries at the Adelaide Oval and outside of Stanlake/Khan, the Strikers bowling lineup doesn’t look overly tough to get on top of.
Prediction
Not much separates the two sides in this clash with the odds pretty even across the board. But after the Scorchers impressive win over the Renegades, we just have to favour them over the Strikers because of their lack of playing time thus far. The Scorchers batting lineup looked back to their best on Saturday night with a total of 196/7. Bancroft looked more aggressive with 51, Livingstone showed his potential with 29 off 19 and Mitch Marsh is in great touch with the bat. They’ll likely face 8 tough overs against Khan & Stanlake but they should be able to dominate the likes of Siddle, Agar and an unknown 5th bowling option. After two wicketless games, Jhye Richardson is due for a good game and that could mean trouble for the Strikers top order, which struggled against the Thunder (2-8 off 1.4 overs).
