Geelong vs Western Bulldogs Betting Tips
GMHBA Stadium, Saturday 30th July, 7:25pm (AEST)
Geelong Cats
Injuries: Toby Conway, Francis Evans, Shaun Higgins, Flynn Kroeger, Sam Menegola, Rhys Stanley, Cooper Whyte
Geelong have got most of their key pieces available for play at the moment and have one of the smallest injury lists in the competition. Sam Menegola is the only important player that is currently forced to the sidelines as he recovers from a concussion. Tom Stewart will also return to play this weekend after missing multiple weeks with suspension.
The Cats were too good for the Power in the clutch moments last weekend when winning by two goals. They had to get control of the momentum in the fourth quarter after a big rally from the Power, but the experienced Cats were able to problem solve and record yet another win. The Cats have now won nine matches on the spin and sit comfortably at the top of the ladder as a result.
Western Bulldogs
Injuries: Hayden Crozier, Taylor Duryea, Charlie Parker, Anthony Scott, Adam Treloar, Mitch Wallis
The Western Bulldogs don’t have much to complain about with injuries right now. They’re only without 2-3 of their best 22, with the most important out being Adam Treloar. Treloar picked up a calf injury in their recent win over the Demons and had to be subbed out in the fourth quarter.
The Bulldogs put together an impressive performance against the reigning premiers last weekend and were able to come away with a 10-point win. Jamarra Ugle-Hagan had a breakout match with five goals and was named as the Rising Star for Round 19. He helped the Bulldogs claim their second win in a row and their seventh win from their last 10 matches, which has helped them leap into the top eight with three games to play.
Match Prediction
These clubs met only last month at Marvel Stadium and it was the Cats who came out on top by a couple of goals. Fast forward to now and not much has changed as the Cats are still the far superior outfit. They’ve won each of the last three meetings with the Bulldogs and their chances of extending that streak are only enhance by this match being on their home deck. I expect them to get the job done once again and to cover the current spread of 20.5 points.
Geelong Cats -20.5

Prop Bets
Brad Close continues to improve and is now an important cog in the Cats machine. He’s had 15+ touches in each of his last three matches and is still around even money to get to that mark this weekend.
Brad Close 15+ Disposals ($2.60 at Ladbrokes)
Gryan Miers has been hitting the scoreboard in recent weeks and has kicked a goal in his last two games. He’s registered at least a score in each of his last six matches and is good value to get one through the big sticks in this one.
Gryan Miers Anytime Goal Scorer ($1.80 at Ladbrokes)
Jeremy Cameron has been the most reliable forward in the competition this season and there’s no signs of him slowing down. He gets a look at a poor team defence in the Bulldogs this weekend and I expect him to cash in.
Jeremy Cameron 3+ goals ($1.98 at Ladbrokes)
