Fremantle vs Collingwood Betting Tips
Optus Stadium, Sunday 22nd May 5:20pm (AEST)
Fremantle
Injuries: Nat Fyfe (Back), Joel Hamling (Knee), Nathan O’Driscoll (Foot), Joel Western (Hamstring)
The Dockers will welcome back a lot of quality into the line-up this weekend and now have a very small injury list. Nat Fyfe is the big name still missing through a back injury, while youngster Nathan O’Driscoll is the other missing from their best 22.
The Dockers couldn’t match the Suns intensity and effort last weekend and managed to put just 33 points on the scoreboard in a six-goal defeat. In their defence, the Dockers were missing a number of key players, most of which are set to return for Sunday night’s match. That result aside, it’s been a fruitful first nine rounds of the season for the Dockers who look like a certainty to play finals. They’re currently 7-2 and reside in the top four.
Collingwood
Injuries: Charlie Dean (Foot), Jamie Elliott (Shoulder), Brodie Grundy (Knee), Ash Johnson (Hamstring), Will Kelly (Hip), Nathan Kreuger (Shoulder), Jack Madgen (Shoulder), Jordan Roughead (Finger), Tom Wilson (Back)
The Magpies have a lengthy injury list but a lot of them are players unlikely to feature in their best 22. Brodie Grundy, Jamie Elliott, Nathan Kreuger and Jordan Roughead are the names they’ll miss the most.
It’s been a season full of momentum swings for the Magpies to date. They’ve had two two-match win streaks, one three-game losing streak and enter this match on a two-game losing run. Keeping their opponents to a manageable score has been the biggest issue this season, as they’ve conceded a total of 816 points, which ranks them in the bottom half of the competition. The Magpies are 4-5 in the win/loss columns and are in 11thspot on the ladder.
Match Prediction
The Dockers have been the far more consistent team to start the season and will deservingly start as the big favourites on their home deck. Moreover, they’ve owned the Magpies over the last three seasons, defeating them in all three matches, including twice on the road in Melbourne. After a disappointing result last week, I expect the Dockers to bounce back and deliver a strong win on Sunday night.

Josh Daicos had a superb start to the season, particularly with his ability to find plenty of the football. He had 20+ touches in each of his first seven outings before having a couple of quiet games in the last two. I expect him to bounce back on the big open spaces at Optus.
Josh Daicos 20+ Disposals ($1.95 Ladbrokes)
Lachie Schultz is putting together a really nice career at Fremantle and is a constant threat to hit the scoreboard up forward. He’s already kicked 12 goals this season and multiple goals on four occasions. In a match where they should be able to put up a big score, Schultz is good value for 2+ goals.
Lachie Schultz 2+ Goals ($2.02 Ladbrokes)
Michael Walters had a really slow start to the season with just 15 disposals combined from the first two rounds. However, he’s lifted with 15+ in four of his last six matches and the only times he fell below that mark was in tough games against the Blues and the Cats. I have him finding plenty of it here.
