NBA Betting Tips: Wednesday February 8th
Phoenix Suns at Brooklyn Nets
Barclays Center, 11:30am AEDT
The new-look Nets will play hosts to the Suns in one of the more intriguing games on Wednesday’s slate.
The depleted Nets put up a fantastic fight in their first game since Kyrie Irving’s departure when narrowly going down to the Clippers on Tuesday.
Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons were both on the sidelines in their recent loss and the pair are both expected to miss again against the Suns, with Simmons the more likely to suit up.
Meanwhile, Devin Booker is expected to return for the Suns after missing multiple weeks with a hamstring injury.
Booker’s likely inclusion is massive for the Suns who have managed to stay afloat despite being ravaged with injuries.
Mikal Bridges consistent play is one of the key reasons why they’re only one game behind fourth spot in the West.
The Suns now have all of their big weapons available and the same certainly can’t be said about the Nets. This should make for a relatively easy win for the Suns, particularly with the Nets being on the second leg of a back-to-back.

Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets
Ball Arena, 1pm AEDT
The Timberwolves get their opportunity at the toughest task in basketball at the moment – taking on the Nuggets in Denver.
The Nuggets have won 19 of their last 20 games on their home floor and are 25-4 in Denver for the season.
In contrast, the Timberwolves have won only nine of their 24 road games, and have fared far better when playing in front of their home fans (20-12).
These teams played just a couple of days ago and the Timberwolves came away with a huge 30-point win at home, but the Nuggets were with nearly all of their key players, including back-to-back MVP, Nikola Jokic.
The Nuggets are expected to be back to full strength this time around and they’ll be a completely different proposition as a result. I expect them to continue their dominance at home and record another comfortable victory.
Denver Nuggets -8

OKC Thunder at Los Angeles Lakers
Crpyto.com Arena, 2pm AEDT
Will this be the game LeBron James breaks Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record?
Fans that paid over 100k for tickets in anticipation will certainly hope so.
The King needs 36 points to become the NBA’s most prolific ever scorer.
In his way stands an OKC Thunder defence that gave up 141 points the day prior in their heavy loss against the Warriors, with Klay Thompson going off for 12 threes.
In fact, the Thunder have given up a whopping 123.2 points per game across their last six outings, and have only kept a team under 100 once this year and that was when they conceded 99 against the Nuggets a couple of weeks ago.
Whether or not James can score 36 points on Wednesday remains to be seen, but you can expect the pace to be high enough that he’ll at least get enough shot attempts to have a crack at it.
With that said, I’ll be on the total points going over in this one.
