NBA Betting Tips: Tuesday March 14th 2023
Minnesota Timberwolves at Atlanta Hawks
State Farm Arena, 10:30am AEDT
Both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Atlanta Hawks will be looking to bounce back from losses against Eastern Conference teams when they meet on Tuesday.
The Timberwolves were beaten in a one-point overtime thriller by the Nets last start, while the Hawks went down to the Celtics by nine points in a shootout.
Interestingly, this will be the first meeting between these teams this season, in fact they haven’t played each other in nearly 14 months. Both rosters have drastically changed since then, so there isn’t any matchup history to read into.
However, what we can read into is the home vs away form of these teams. The Hawks are 18-14 at home this season and the Timberwolves are 14-18 on the road.
The Hawks are also now back to full strength and have no excuses whatsoever, They should be getting the better of the Timberwolves on Tuesday who will be without Karl-Anthony Towns and potentially even Rudy Gobert.
Atlanta Hawks -4.5

Utah Jazz at Miami Heat
Miami-Dade Arena, 10:30am AEDT
The Utah Jazz and the Miami Heat will be locking horns for the second and final time for the season on Tuesday. The Heat will be eyeing off a season sweep after taking care of the Jazz 126-123 in Utah a couple of months ago.
The Jazz are riding a mini two-game win streak but both wins were against rebuilding teams battling injuries. Prior to that they were on a four-game losing streak and only one of their losses were against a team with a positive record.
Meanwhile, the Heat continue to trade wins with losses and have struggled to build any meaningful momentum this campaign. Still, they remain in seventh spot in the East and can climb into the top six with a decent run of form.
The Jazz had a hot start to their season but the wheels have slowly been falling off ever since. On current form, I can’t see them getting close enough to cover the spread against the Heat on the road.
Miami Heat -7.5

Phoenix Suns at Golden State Warriors
Chase Center, 1pm AEDT
Two Western Conference contenders will do battle in one of the later games on the Tuesday slate, with the Golden State Warriors playing hosts to the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns will be hoping to bounce back from their loss against the Kings last start which snapped a four-game win streak. They continue to play without Kevin Durant who will likely miss the next couple of weeks with an ankle sprain.
On the other hand, the Warriors will be thankful they’re on their home deck again on Tuesday considering they’ve won seven straight at the Chase Center, and lost eight straight on their travels. In fact, the Warriors have the third best home record in the league this season at 28-7 and the third worst road record in the entire NBA at 7-26.
Being at home is clearly a massive advantage for the Warriors, and even more so when you consider the Suns have been poor on the road themselves this campaign (15-19). As such, all signs lead towards a win for the home team here.
Golden State Warriors -3.5
