Golden State Warriors at Dallas Mavericks
American Airlines Center, 10:30am AEDT
After finally breaking their 11-game road losing streak in Houston, the Golden State Warriors now travel to north Texas to take on the Dallas Mavericks.
The Warriors required a 37-28 fourth quarter and 59 combined points from the Splash Brothers to secure Tuesday’s win, and will hope that it was act as a catalyst for more success on the road going forward. The Warriors are now sixth in the West and only two games behind the #4 seed.
The Mavericks had their mini two-game win streak snapped in their recent loss in Memphis. Despite the loss, their form over the past week has been solid and they’ll hope to continue to build momentum back on their home floor. Luka Doncic remains out with injury, although Kyrie Irving is back healthy.
It took playing the worst team in the league for the Warriors to break their road losing streak, and I’m still not convinced they’ve turned the corner. Playing in Dallas will be a big test for them and with all things considered, I don’t see how they deserve to be favourites.

Indiana Pacers at Toronto Raptors
Scotiabank Arena, 10:30am AEDT
Both vying for play-in seeding, the Indiana Pacers and the Toronto Raptors will meet at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Thursday.
The Pacers have been one of the surprisingly competitive teams this season but are facing a tricky period right now due to injuries. All-Star Tyrese Haliburton has missed the last couple of games and is expected to be out again for this one, which will make it tough for the Pacers to snap their two-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, the Raptors are dealing with an injury to ROTY winner Scottie Barnes who’s listed as a game time decision. Barnes was limited to just 13 minutes last start in his team’s loss to the Bucks which put an end to their three-game winning run.
The Raptors are riding a seven-game home winning streak entering this slate, which is the longest such streak among teams in the East right now. In this sort of form, I expect them to be able to negotiate another comfortably victory against a potentially undermanned Pacers outfit.

Phoenix Suns at Los Angeles Lakers
Crypto.com Arena, 1pm AEDT
Pacific Division rivals, the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers will matchup again on Thursday. This will be their third meeting for the season with the Suns leading the way 2-0.
The Suns looked amazing in the three games when Kevin Durant players (3-0), but have struggled since he suffered a freak injury in warm-ups (2-4). Devin Booker has been doing everything he can on offence but needs to help to ensure his Suns stay in the top four in the West.
The Lakers made plenty of moves at the Trade Deadline and looked a completely different team as a result. However, cracks are starting to appear as they enter this slate having lost three of their last five games. LeBron James remains out with an ankle injury but may return before the end of the regular season.
The Suns have dominated the Lakers in recent seasons with wins in each of their last nine meetings, including four in a row at Crypto.com Arena. The Lakers have improved a touch this season but I still have to give the edge to the travelling team on this occasion.
