AFL Western Bulldogs vs West Coast Betting Tips
Marvel Stadium, Sunday 3.20pm (AEDT)
The Bulldogs unveiled their shiny new recruits last week in an impressive win over the Magpies on Friday night while the Eagles were too good for Gold Coast at home. This should be an interesting clash at Marvel Stadium, which should play a lot different to the two, much bigger grounds that these teams played on last week respectively.
Match Prediction
The Dogs kicked away to a three goal lead in the first quarter of their Friday night games against the Magpies and the margin hovered around that mark for the rest of the game, finishing at 16 points. The Dogs midfield was absolutely dominant in the win as they had the top nine disposal getters on the ground. Bailey Smith (36), Jack Macrae (35), Lachie Hunter (31), Josh Dunkley (30), Marcus Bontempelli (28), Caleb Daniel (28), Tom Liberatore (28), Bailey Williams (28) and Patrick Lipinski (26) all had more disposals than any Collingwood player and by his standards, newcomer Adam Treloar had a quiet game with just 18.
Although it was a bigger margin, the Eagles win over the Suns wasn’t as impressive. The Suns had a lead at 3qtr time but ran out of legs after injury forced their star midfielder Matt Rowell out of the game early. The Eagles had a solid last quarter but looked shaky at times throughout the game. Dom Sheed, Tim Kelly and Shannon Hurn were the catalysts in the win.
The Eagles are still without some key players in the likes of Luke Shuey, Mark Hutchings, Jake Waterman and Elliot Yeo but all are nearing a return. As for the Doggies, their injury list is looking good at the moment, missing only Ed Richards, Toby McLean and Hayden Crozier from their potential best 22.
Really tough game to call here between what I think are two pretty evenly matched sides. The Dogs start as 12.5 point favourites which I think is a little high but the cross country trip probably comes into play for the Eagles. I like the over a little more though, both teams play a pretty aggressive style and on a lightning fast Marvel track the scoring should be regular.

Bulldogs Prop
With Stefan Martin taking the majority of the time in the ruck at the Bulldogs now, Tim English will likely be spending more time in the forward line. He kicked a goal in the season opener against Collingwood and is great value to snag multiple on Sunday against the Eagles.
Eagles Prop
With Jack Darling and Josh Kennedy getting a heap of attention in the West Coast forward line, Oscar Allen was the forgotten man in Round 1 against the Suns and he capitalised, booting four goals in the win. We think it’s a safe bet that the young forward kicks another two in a high scoring game.
