NBA Betting Tips: Thursday, 25th of November
Miami Heat at Minnesota Timberwolves
Target Center, 12pm AEDT
The Heat weren’t at their best but were still able to get the job done on the road against the lowly Pistons on Wednesday. It was the first leg of a road back-to-back for the Heat who are now 6-5 on the road and 12-6 overall. Their five wins from their last six games has also seen them improve to second in the East behind the Nets who are at 13-5.
The Timberwolves have found some of their best form over the last couple of weeks with wins in each of their last four and five of their last seven games. Impressively, all of those wins have been by 10+ points including a 43-point demolition job of the Grizzlies two games back. On the back of this surge of winning form, the Timberwolves have risen to 10th in the West with an 8-9 record.
The Timberwolves have already proven this season that when they’re at full strength they’re a very tough team to beat for even the best teams in the league. With four wins in a row coming into this home fixture, they now get a look at a vulnerable Heat outfit that are on the second night of a road back-to-back. We expect them to get the job done and make it five in a row at good odds.

Chicago Bulls at Houston Rockets
Toyota Center, 12pm AEDT
The Bulls were humiliated on their home floor in their most recent outing against the Pacers despite entering that clash as the hot favourites. It was just their sixth loss for the season and only their second by a double-figure margin, so perhaps it was just an outlier. Overall, the Bulls have been fantastic so far this season and are just one game behind the first seed in the East.
The Rockets entered this season with an extremely young roster and the result have shown that so far. They’ve tasted success just once this season which was in their game against the Thunder where they won by 33 points. The Rockets are now on an embarrassing 15-game losing streak and 11 of those losses have been by at least 10 points.
The Bulls may have burned punters in their surprise blowout loss against the Pacers on Tuesday, but they get the perfect fixture to bounce back to winning form with when they take on the lowly Rockets. We expect them to make the most of it and deal the Rockets yet another loss by double figures.
Toronto Raptors at Memphis Grizzlies
FedExForum, 12pm AEDT
The Raptors started the season in hot form but have quickly hit a road block and come into this slate having lost seven of their last nine games. It’s been a combination of niggling injuries to key players and a loss of confidence for their younger brigade that has seen their form turn for the worst, however, the season is still young and their record is still a respectable 8-10.
The Grizzlies won easily in their two games at home before being embarrassed on the road against the Timberwolves where they lost by a whopping 43 points. Encouragingly, the young Grizzlies, led by some heroics by Jaren Jackson Jr., were able to bounce back last time out on the road against a Jazz team that led the NBA for wins at home a season ago.
The Grizzlies have now won three of their last four games overall and six of nine at home this season, which is sure to have them full of confidence when they host the out-of-sorts Raptors on Thursday. We’re surprised to see the Grizzlies open at just 4.5-point favourites and are fully expecting them to cover that with a few points to spare
