This week’s NBA action wraps up on Sunday where we have a juicy six-game slate on the cards. As always, we bring you our best spread and player prop bets for the key games right here!
NBA Betting Tips: Sunday, 6th of February
Memphis Grizzlies at Orlando Magic
Amway Center, 9am AEDT
Two of the Grizzlies stars in Ja Morant and Desmond Bane combined for 13 of 45 from the field in their recent outing against the Knicks, yet the team was still able to put up 120 points and negotiate a 12-point win. It’s been one very impressive campaign for the Grizzlies to date who enter this slate with the third best record in the NBA, despite having the second youngest roster.
Going through easily their best stretch of the season so far, the Magic will be looking to make it five wins from their last seven games when they host the Grizzlies on Sunday morning. Most recently they came out on top in a 119-118 thriller against the Pacers despite being the travelling side. That was their seventh win on the road this season, while they’ve managed only five victories on their home floor.
As stated above, the Magic are in the best form they’ve been in all season, yet it still won’t be enough to match it with one of the hottest teams in the competition in the Grizzlies. They’ve been playing inspired basketball all season long and won’t be deterred by being the road side here as they come into this with the second-best away record in the league at 17-9. We expect the Grizzlies to be far too good here and to record a comfortable win.

New York Knicks at Los Angeles Lakers
Crypto.com Arena, 12:30pm AEDT
Still trying to recapture their form from their impressive 2020-21 campaign, the Knicks have struggled severely in recent weeks, winning just twice from their last nine outings. Most recently they gave up a whopping 120 points at home to the Grizzlies, despite both Ja Morant and Desmond Bane shooting horrible clips. The Knicks are now 24-28 on the season and will see their playoff hopes slip away unless they can find some better form ASAP.
Much like their opponents here, the Lakers have had a really poor campaign when compared to early season expectations. Most recently they lost a heartbreaker to their hometown rivals in the Clippers, going down by one point in what was their fourth loss from their last five games. On the back of their recent form, the Lakers have slipped to three games under .500 for the season at 25-28.
Neither of these teams would be happy with how they’ve performed in recent weeks, although both will see this fixture as one where they can win and get some momentum from. In our opinion, the Lakers have the more upside of the two and have performed marginally better than their opponents here, despite their results being far from great. We like the odds of them getting the job done at home over the Knicks on this occasion.
Los Angeles Lakers -2

OKC Thunder at Sacramento Kings
Golden 1 Center, 2pm AEDT
Kicking off their road trip with two wins in as many games, the Thunder will be eyeing off their fourth straight win when they travel to take on the Kings on Sunday. Their current three-game win streak is their third such streak for the season to date and just like the other two, it’s seemingly come out of nowhere. The rebuilding Thunder are now 17-34 on the season which is probably better than they would’ve anticipated.
Despite underwhelming for the most part again this season, the Kings managed to pull off a 12-point upset win over the Nets two games back. Unfortunately, they reverted back to their usual ways on the following day, going down to the Warriors by 12 points to make it eight losses from their last nine games. The Kings have now fallen to 19-34 on the season and are third last in the West standings.
These teams are set to meet for the third time this campaign with the H2H count all level after each team took care of home court. Surprisingly, the Thunder will start as the rank outsiders in this meeting despite winning each of their last three games. We believe this is a mistake from the bookies and are more than happy to have something on the in-form Thunder here.
