NBA Betting Tips: Sunday, 30th of January
Indiana Pacers at Dallas Mavericks
American Airlines Center, 11am AEDT
Domantas Sabonis put the troops on his back in the Pacers clutch overtime win against the Thunder on Saturday. That win put an end to another three-game losing streak they’d cooked up, which has become a common theme for the Pacers this season. They’re now 18-32 on the season and have plenty of work to do if they’re to become relevant.
Dallas have hit their straps this season and enter Sunday having won 12 of their last 15 games. Despite being on the road last time out in Portland, the Mavericks destroyed the Trail Blazers by 20 points led by a Luka Doncic triple-double. On the back of their recent form, the Mavericks have improved to fifth in the West with a 28-21 record.
Meeting for the second and final time this season, the Pacers will be looking to record a series sweep against the Mavericks after beating them by 13 points midway through December. Unfortunately for them, they’re in really poor form at the moment and the Mavericks are absolutely flying, which is why we believe this will end in a very easy win for the home side.

Washington Wizards at Memphis Grizzlies
FedExForum, 12pm AEDT
Washington have had a few days off since their one-point loss against the Clippers where they remarkably led by 30 points at half time. That extremely poor result made it four losses in a row for the Wizards who have now slipped to 10th in the East with a 23-25 record. They also now hit the road for the first time in weeks after they just finished a huge eight-game homestand.
Memphis continues to tick over the win column and managed to secure another victory last time out against the Jazz. The Grizzlies haven’t lost two games in a row in over a month now and have surged into third in the West at 34-17. Ja Morant has been at the forefront of everything they’ve done well this season and was recently rewarded with his first All-Star nod.
Washington have had plenty of time to review their disgraceful loss last time out against the Clippers and will be desperate to make amends on Sunday. The bad new for them is that they come up against a very talented Grizzlies outfit who rarely put in a bad performance. At home and in the far better form of the two teams in this matchup, we expect the Grizzlies to be far too strong on Sunday.
Memphis Grizzlies -5.5

Brooklyn Nets at Golden State Warriors
Chase Centre, 12:30pm AEDT
Brooklyn have had a tough time getting everybody on the park together and it’s making consistency from game-to-game tough to achieve. They enter this having lost both games on their recent homestand, falling against the Nuggets and the Lakers to increase their current streak to three losses. Still, the Nets are fifth in the East with a solid 29-19 record.
Golden State found it fairly tough integrating superstar Klay Thompson back into the rotation after the guard missed a couple of years due to injury. However, the Warriors have now found their rhythm with four wins in the spin, one of which was a 38-point demolition job of the Mavericks. The Warriors are now 36-13 on the season which is the second-best record in the association.
These teams will be meeting for the second and final game for the season on Sunday, with the Warriors currently 1-0 up after making light work of the Nets back in November (117-99). Since then, the Warriors have by far been the better team in this matchup and their chances of sweeping the series are only increased by this being on their home deck. We expect them to be too strong and to cover the spread here.
