NBA Playoffs Betting Tips: Saturday, 29th of May
New York Knicks at Atlanta Hawks
Philips Arena, 9am AEST
The Knicks prdocued a fantastic comeback in Game 2 of the series to keep their chances of advancing alive now that it’s tied up at 1-1. The Knicks trailed by 13 points at the main break but dominated the second half to end up as nine-point winners. They did all of that damage while shooting just 38% from the field.
Julius Randle struggled from the field once again with just five of his 16 attempts falling, but Derrick Rose had his back with an inspiring 26 points off the bench to guide the Knicks to victory. On the flipside, the Hawks got great production out of Trae Young once again with 30 points, while DeAndre Hunter looked like more of himself with 18 points.
The Hawks would be thrilled to head back home with a split on the road and can take real control of the series if they can defend homecourt; however, we loved the adjustments the Knicks were able to make in the second half of Game 2 and have them going on with it to give the Hawks a great challenge here.
Prop: Rose 20+ Points ($2)
New York Knicks +4.5

Brooklyn Nets at Boston Celtics
TD Garden, 10:30am AEST
Brooklyn were absolutely dominant in Game 2 of their series with Boston, winning all quarters bar the last to take a 22-point win and go up 2-0 in the series. The huge advantage the Nets had on the scoreboard allowed them to give all three of their superstars rest in the fourth quarter, which holds them in good stead as they go on their travels.
The Nets were dominant in all facets of Game 2, but the stat that stands out the most was their shooting clip from both the field (52%) and the three (45%) which are both fantastic. In contrast, the Celtics really struggled to find the bottom of the net and a lot of that stands on the shoulders of Jayson Tatum, who was kept to just nine points which equalled his season-low.
The Celtics are dearly missing Jaylen Brown and stand little to no chance of defending the Nets without him on the floor. This series has all the makings of a sweep and it would be a big surprise to see the Celtics get within 10 points of the red-hot Nets in Game 3.
Prop: Smart 15+ Points ($2)
Los Angeles Clippers at Dallas Mavericks
American Airlines Center, 11:30am AEST
Los Angeles Clippers were outgunned once again in Game 2 against Dallas to fall two games down in the series. In a way, they’ve taken their medicine after deliberately falling to the fourth seed in the West to avoid the Trail Blazers. Now heading to Dallas, it will take a huge shift in momentum to see the Clippers get back in this series.
The Clippers got fantastic production out of one of their superstars in Kawhi Leonard last game with 41 points, but unfortunately, he had little help aside from Paul George’s 28 points. For the Mavericks, Luka Doncic was phenomenal once again in Game 2 with 39 points and is taking advantage of the defensive assignments he’s been handed by the Clippers.
The Clippers look like the more talented team on paper, but the game isn’t played on paper and the Mavericks have been truly deserving of their 2-0 lead. Unless something drastic changes, there’s no reason to go away from the Mavericks covering the spread here.
Prop: Doncic 30+ Points ($1.83)
Dallas Mavericks +2.5
