We hit on 3/5 of our plays on Tuesday to continue the great success with our NBA betting tips this season. We now turn our attention to the upcoming 10-game slate on Thursday where we’re eyeing off a couple of key matchups. Catch our best plays of the day below!
NBA Betting Tips: Thursday, 4th of March
Indiana Pacers at Cleveland Cavaliers
Quicken Loans Arena, 11am AEDT
Indiana Pacers are really struggling at the moment having lost four games on the spin and 11 of their last 15. They’re really thin on the wings at the moment with some key players out injured, which is making them a little too predictable on offence. Now at 15-18 on the season, it’s time for the Pacers to knuckle down and find some ways to get it going.
Cleveland Cavaliers have found some great form when they needed it most and come into this clash on an impressive four-game win streak. Last time out they made relatively light work of the out-of-sorts Rockets on the back of another huge night from Collin Sexton (39 points, eight assists).
It’s interesting to see the Pacers open at $1.30ish favourites here considering they’re on a four-game losing streak, while their opponents in the Cavaliers have won their last four games. At home and in some solid form, we’re happy to be on the underdogs to cover the spread here.
Sexton has been on an absolute tear of late and will be licking his lips at this matchup against a Pacers side that has given up 110+ points in seven straight games. The Young Bull is averaging 29.2 points across his last five games and there’s no reason why his hot form won’t continue on Thursday.
Prop: Sexton O24.5 Points ($1.84)
Cleveland Cavaliers +5.5

Brooklyn Nets at Houston Rockets
Toyota Center, 11:30am AEDT
Brooklyn Nets have put their doubters to rest thanks to some dominant play over the past couple of weeks. They won eight on the spin before the Mavericks snapped their streak, but the Nets bounced straight back on Tuesday with an overtime win over the Spurs. The most impressive thing about this current run is they’re doing it with Kevin Durant on the sidelines.
Houston Rockets seem to make their way into all of our previews and betting tips and it certainly isn’t for the right reasons. They come into this off a double-digit loss against the Cavaliers on Tuesday, which was their seventh 10+ point loss from their past eight games. God only knows what type of offence Stephen Silas is trying to run, but it certainly isn’t easy on the eye, nor has it been effective.
The form of these two clubs coming in makes this a very easy selection for us. As long as there are no key late outs for the Nets and they continue to play the right way, then they should be winning this very, very comfortably.
James Harden travels to Houston to take on the Rockets for the first time since he was traded. He catches them at an opportune time considering how poorly they’re playing and how fantastic he and his team is playing. The Beard has 29+ points in six of his last eight games and should be able to do it again on Thursday with some extra motivation to perform well against his old team.
Prop: Harden O28.5 Points ($1.86)
Charlotte Hornets at Minnesota Timberwolves
Target Center, 12pm AEDT
Charlotte Hornets weren’t able to deal with the Trail Blazers on Tuesday on what was the second night of a road back-to-back. They continue their long road trip on Thursday having gone 2-3 during this stretch. The Hornets are current sit in eighth spot in the East with a respectable 16-18 record on the season.
Minnesota Timberwolves have been the worst performing team this season and there isn’t exactly a whole lot of light at the end of the tunnel. D’Angelo Russell is going to be sidelined for the next four or so weeks after knee surgery, which leaves them really thin on offence. Since joining his good buddy KAT last season, the pair have played just five games together.
The Timberwolves come into this game on an eight-game losing streak and certainly don’t deserve to be even money to win this, or any game at the moment. We fully expect the talented Hornets to be able to negotiate a pretty comfortable win on the road.
The #1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Anthony Edwards, is getting all the minutes he can handle for the Timberwolves with D’Angelo Russell sidelined. Edwards is starting to repay the faith and has scored 21+ points in each of the three games leading into this one. Expect him to get up 20+ shots again as he looks to prove a point against the current ROTY leader in LaMelo Ball.
Prop: Edwards O19.5 Points ($1.93)
Charlotte Hornets -0.5
