We continue our NBA betting tips on Thursday where we’ll look to find some winners from the six game slate on offer. We’ve been in some really good form this season, especially since the turn of the New Year and we’re confident we can end the month of January on a high. As always, we look at the key games of the day and provide previews for our favourite plays, which you can see below. Good luck to everyone following!
NBA Betting Tips Thursday 30th of January
Memphis Grizzlies @ New York Knicks
11:40am AEDT
The Grizzlies continue to prove people wrong as they make their surprise run towards an unexpected potential playoff spot. They come into this in eighth spot and have won each of their last three and eight of their past 10 games. Last time out they were winners against the Nuggets, which was another big scalp on this current stretch.
The Knicks are one of many teams that are already looking towards the future and will probably make a couple of deals as we approach the trade deadline. They come into this off a loss to the Hornets on Wednesday and will now back it up with a trip to Memphis on Thursday. The Knicks have lost six of their last eight games coming into this matchup.
The Grizzlies are the much better team in this matchup and despite having a few injury concerns after their recent game; we still expect them to get the job done pretty comfortably. Don’t be surprised to see them win this game by double figures to continue their impressive stretch.
Memphis Grizzlies -2.5

OKC Thunder @ Sacramento Kings
2:10pm AEDT
The Thunder were disappointing losers last time out against the Mavericks, going down by 10 points on their home deck. They certainly weren’t helped by the late withdrawal of Chris Paul who’s a chance to make another All-Star game appearance. The Thunder were on a five game winning streak prior to that loss and will be looking to bounce back when they head on the road.
The Kings come into this off a miraculous win last time out against the Timberwolves. They were down by 12 points with less than two minutes remaining and ended up getting over the line by four points in overtime. That win was the Kings second in a row, which put an end to a six game losing streak they had going.
The Kings may have won their last two, but the opposition they defeated doesn’t exactly catch the eye. Instead, we’re going to be backing in the Thunder to bounce back with a win. Chris Paul is expected to return after missing last time out and should be enough to reverse the result.
Houston Rockets @ Portland Trail Blazers
2:10pm AEDT
The Rockets come into this game off a very surprising win over the red hot Jazz last time out. Despite being on the road and without their three big stars, the Rockets were able to win fairly comfortably thanks to a huge 50-point night from Eric Gordon. That win was their third from their past four games.
The Trail Blazers have endured a really tough first half of the season where they’ve struggled with both injuries and form on a consistent basis. Superstar guard Damian Lillard has still been playing at a really high level, particularly over the past three games where he’s scored 61, 47 and 50 points.
The Trail Blazers have won two of their past three games thanks to some huge performances from Lillard, however, we can’t see them winning again against a very strong opponent in the Rockets. Wesbrook, Harden and Capela are all a chance to return to the court and if they do, then we expect this to be a comfortable win for the Rockets.
